We continue celebrating the incredible collaborators who shaped our project 🌟
a captivating dancer and performer, contributed her practice to our recent pop-up show ‘I Always See Stars Above My Head’.

Marina Escalera Zamudio is a freelance dancer and performer whose practice is rooted in a deep curiosity about the choreographic process and the ways movement can direct perception, emotion, and collective experience. She is interested in the intersection of embodied movement as an external response to the world—how the body becomes both a transmitter and a receiver of meaning.

Her work moves across disciplines, often integrating elements of sound, film, text, and visual art. This multi-sensory approach enables her to explore the boundaries between forms and the dialogue they create. She sees choreography not just as a way to organize bodies in space, but as a language of sensation, intuition, and transformation.

Her choreographic practice is influenced by Butoh and Tanztheater, seeking to channel raw, instinctive movement while embracing stillness, decay, and emotional density. She has presented original works in gallery settings, where she experiments with spatial dramaturgy and audience proximity, treating the space itself as a co-performer. She is currently focused on expanding her choreographic voice through research and performance projects that invite bodies into conversation with other materials, environments, and technologies.
