[Series premiere 26 May 2017. Hoxton Basement]
In the centre of a small audience spread out on a circle of cushions lay her and his working space, equipped with a dance floor, papers and paints. No one in the room including the artists themselves knew how the evening would develop. Enter stage Ama and Nik, meeting for the first time in the space they would share for the following hour. Without any direction or plan, the two proceeded to get acquainted, each through their medium of expression. Apart from the occasional verbal interaction with each other and the spectators, the room was silent, bringing the sound of each sweep of body and brush to the foreground.
The two artists were there to try to find a creative chemistry and explore a collaboration while communicating through the language that is their own craft. Having no expectations on either side, the room was viewing and experiencing a unique process of creation.
