This work brings together a lively crowd of faces, vessels and palm like shapes, all pressed closely into the space. The warm reds, pinks, oranges and soft purples stand out against the dark ground, giving the work a strong sense of movement and life.

The faces feel playful, strange and full of character. Some seem to be watching, some speaking, some simply passing through. There is a dream-like feeling to the scene, busy, mysterious and slightly unsettled, as if Holliday has imagined a beach made not just of jugs, figures and plants, but of memories and moods.
