Alla prima, across just two sittings because I dont have time to sit for long. Truth is that my face is the only one I trust myself to experiment with, because if it goes funny then at least it's just my likeness that I'm messing with 🤣.

I am enjoying practicing in a new medium and love the feel of oils, though I do have so much to learn still.

Me a week before Christmas 2025, as if Christmas wasnt hectic enough 🤣!
Makers dont stop, and I really wanted to make some special presents for family members. One for my husband and the other for my sister, who gave me some inspo based on a jumper she liked and I couldnt resist the brief.
This is based on a wonderful city we saw in October - Matera in Italy.

I love creating textured paintings and this is how I like to map out, nice and quick into that base layer with my paintbrush like a sketch.
