Huge congratulations, and thank you to our Exposure 2026 cast and creative team!

Over two weeks, an incredible group of young people came together to create a bold, honest, and moving performance exploring the pressures young people face TODAY, from mental health and identity, to exclusion, belonging, and caring responsibilities.

From the feedback we received, the impact on audiences was clear:

"A great eye opener on the effect of mental health on the youth."

"It was so real as I work with teenagers in a school."

"Empowering. Informative. Very impactful, emotional scenes and really relatable."

"The play was amazing and should be on Hackney Empire."

Are you a creative with lived experience of forced displacement, seeking refuge or asylum in the UK? 🎭

We're excited to be partnering with to offer a paid Creative Facilitator role as part of the Stage Door 11 programme.

This 3-month placement with Immediate Theatre is a chance to gain hands-on experience in community arts and theatre, develop your creative practice, and connect with a national cohort of artists and creatives from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds.

We welcome applications from people with a passion for creativity and community engagement, whether your experience is professional, voluntary or informal.

Lights, camera, VIP! ✨

Our annual Immediate Theatre Prom was truly special.

It was so nice to see our young people celebrating with friends following their summer holiday Breakout project.

They all looked amazing and enjoyed a day full of laughter, games, and, we hope, unforgettable memories.

We're so proud of every young person who joined us and helped make the day extra special.

Creativity is at the heart of what we do, but we also do so much more! From building friendships, creating opportunities, and above all helping young people shine on stage and beyond.

A lot of young people started unsure last year – especially with the weight of the topic they were navigating...

With the right support, care and dedication – they created a performance so powerful, we had to share it wider.

What started as a summer project ended as a social movement, with our young people on stage at the iconic Rio Cinema, speaking to industry leaders and decision makers.
