Morjane Ténéré is a singer-songwriter inspired by folk and blues music. Her voice moves people to tears. Ténéré means “desert” in Tamasheq, the language of the Tuareg people, yet it also evokes vastness, magic and resilience. The Ténéré region is known for its immense seas of sand and for the Tree of Ténéré, once considered one of the most isolated trees on Earth before its destruction. This imagery resonates with the themes explored in Morjane’s songs: the urgency of protecting our planet, honoring our ancestors, and nurturing bonds of sisterhood.

Webster’s Ragtime Trio is a Texas based throwback to a style of music that went largely unrecorded. Around the turn-of-the-century, it is said that there was lots of string bands playing the popular hits of the day including classic ragtime compositions. Although the music was composed for marching bands and solo piano, it is hard not to notice how joyful it sounds played on acoustic stringed instruments. The trio also play ragged Texas Fiddle tunes from the 78 RPM era, even venturing across the pond to play the occasional archaic Polish mazurka, or striking up borderland polka Harkening back to the glory days of Tejas.
