The Collectors’ Studio is filled with the stylish work of local artist Susie Stone this weekend. We have her latest linocuts, pastel drawings and paintings on display, and tomorrow morning (Saturday 5 September) Susie will be joining us at 11am to talk through the new collection.

We both loved the Hepworth in Colour exhibition at Courtauld. It’s a small but beautiful collection and while the message about Hepworth using colour in her work isn’t surprising, seeing these works together is a joy. We particularly loved the paintings and drawings … and it was very special to see these alongside the sculptures. Though of course we were a little disappointed that none of her beautiful colour lithographs and silkscreens weren’t included!

The exhibition is only on for one more week at the Courtauld Gallery.
(But we regularly have Hepworth’s lithographs and silkscreens at the Eames Collectors’ Studio, so pop by any weekend to see those!)

We went to see the National Gallery’s marvellous exhibition of work by the great Francisco Zurbarán last night. It’s incredible and I’m sorry we left it so late to visit as I’d have loved to go again.
This is the last weekend - don’t miss it!!
