It’s summer at last! School’s out, the Aperol Spritz is flowing, and there’s a bright golden haze on the meadow..!

New York City-based vocalist Hilary Gardner and her band, The Lonesome Pines, return to Crazy Coqs for an evening of music celebrating the nostalgic heart of the American West.

Their album, On the Trail with The Lonesome Pines (Anzic Records), was hailed by The Wall Street Journal as “something new and wondrous.”

Join creatively fiery New York City Jazz pianist Pete Malinverni, along with his London bandmates, legendary bassist Dave Green and first-call drummer Steve Brown, as they offer a program of spirited, engaging and accessible improvisations on New York-centric music by composers such as Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin and Malinverni himself.

Malinverni, a pianist, composer and educator, has recorded seventeen times, to acclaim, as a bandleader, is a Full Professor at the State University of New York at Purchase, where he served as Chair of Jazz for twelve years, and is known the world over for his joyous approach to making music for people. Audiences are assured a fun evening of inspiring takes on familiar music as well as original works by the pianist, all characterized by rhythmic and melodic diversity and imbued with the energy for which New York City – the Big Apple – is so well known and appreciated.
