WE'VE ONLY BLOODY GONE AND WON BEST NEW MUSICAL AT THE FLOOPIN' Off West End Awards!

We're so proud of Olivia Thompson for her brilliant score and script.

This show would be nothing without it's brilliant creative team. Steve, Soose, Bobby, and Rory.

The fabulous cast Frida, Olivia W, Katrina and Megan! Bringing a so many contributions and a great energy every night.

A massive thank you to Lion & Unicorn Theatre for their endless support in creating this kick ass piece of theatre. It would still be a few ditties written on a piece of paper without them.

Thank you to Mark Duffield and Robin Savage for doing their camera magic and making us look fabulous

And a final thank you to Nora Mulready for cheerleading us to victory.

It's getting very close to La Maupin time at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre! So exciting! Aaaaaaaaahhhhh!

To calm myself down I've taken a sip of night nurse and popped on another one of the cast's favourite musical songs.

Today on the agenda we have 'All the Wasted Time' from Parade as selected by the fabulous Katrina Michaels.

Katrina had this to say on the track:
"The gorgeous musical swells hit me right in the tear ducts and the song reaffirms that there is always the possibility of change and how powerful love can be when you don't take it for granted."

Next up, your nana's dream choice of company for afternoon tea, Michael Crawford.

And has she won another award? Probably. It's Barbara Streisand.

Here they perform the exciting number 'Put On Your Sunday Best' from Hello, Dolly!

This number was selected by by our own Denis Waterman (Write the theme tune, sing the theme tune, star in it...) Olivia Thompson, writer and performer of La Maupin the Musical.

She had this to say on it:
"It's about the excitement of possibility and adventure and always makes me think of watching the film with my mother and sister as a kid. I also love that the show is about an older woman - even though Streisand was in her 20s when she was in the film!"

We thought we'd share some of the big musical theatre numbers that have impacted us over the years and led us to become the financial messes- Sorry- I mean- ahem... the beautiful budding artists we are today!

First up we have Olivia Warren from the cast of La Maupin, who performs the numbers Old Fashioned Boy, and What Julie Did Next.

She has selected the the excellent 'Welcome to the Rock' from Come From Away.

She had this to say on it:
"I love Welcome to the Rock from Come From Away. The show is about kindness and community, and this song in particular feels almost ritualistic. It’s a celebration of the island as a collective and has such a rousing and defiant sound!"
