ProDance Classes Next Week with Richard Chappell 🧡

22nd-25th June
10:30am-12pm

Richard's class begins by mobilising, expanding, and stretching the body through repetitive movement patterns, improvisational tasks, and a strong connection to breath. From there, dancers are guided through exercises that travel across the studio, fostering a deeper connection to the ground and encouraging a continuous flow of weight between the hands and feet.

Using spirals to develop momentum, coordination, and precision, the class gradually builds towards interconnected movement phrases that challenge both body and mind. The session culminates in a playful, full-bodied final phrase that brings together the material explored throughout the class.

Designed to be both energetic and challenging, Richard's approach remains accessible and adaptable, allowing dancers to work according to their individual energy levels and needs.

We look forward to moving with you next week!

YTT26 Guest Teachers 🧡

Meet Rishin Panosakar
‘History and Evolution of Yoga: Cultural Appreciation vs Appropriation’

Growing up in India, Rishin was introduced to yoga at school, though it wasn’t until years later, while recovering from a cycling injury, that yoga became a meaningful and transformative part of his life.

After leaving a career in banking in 2012 to start his own food business, Rishin completed his 200-hour Yoga Alliance training at Hot Power Yoga and has continued to deepen his studies through a wide range of practices and disciplines.

His additional training includes myofascial bodywork with senior Forrest Yoga teachers Jambo Truong and Brian Campbell, Restorative Yoga with Judith Lasater, and Yoga Nidra with Craig Norris. This diverse background informs a thoughtful, grounded, and deeply embodied approach to yoga and wellbeing.

In YTT26, Rishin will lead a session exploring the History and Evolution of Yoga, opening important conversations around cultural appreciation versus appropriation. Drawing from both personal experience and extensive study, he invites students to reflect on yoga’s roots, evolution, and the responsibility of practicing and teaching with awareness, respect, and integrity.

We’re honoured to have Rishin sharing his knowledge and perspective with the YTT cohort ✨

NEW WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

Unlocking Movement with Mathilde Lin

📅 Saturday 4th July
⏰ 3:00pm–6:00pm

Join Paris-based dancer and artist Mathilde Lin for an immersive workshop exploring improvisation as a gateway to creativity, imagination, and the development of your own unique movement language.

Drawing from years of research and practice, Mathilde will guide participants through clear and accessible improvisation tasks designed to unlock new physical possibilities, challenge habitual movement patterns, and deepen artistic expression.

Throughout the workshop, dancers will explore both refined, minimal movement and richer, more complex physicality, discovering new ways of moving with curiosity, sincerity, and pleasure.

Inspired by cinema, experimental music, and interdisciplinary artistic practices, Mathilde's work invites the body to unfold as an instrument—powerful, flexible, expressive, and full of unexpected possibilities.

This workshop is ideal for dancers, movers, and performance artists interested in improvisation, movement research, and expanding their creative practice.

✨ Explore.
✨ Imagine.
✨ Discover.
✨ Unlock your movement.

YOGA TEACHER TRAINING Guest Teacher 🧡

🔸 Meet Jayne Miller
Pre/Post Natal Yoga • Yin Yoga

A beloved regular teacher at TripSpace, Jayne is BWY and Yoga Alliance (500-hour) accredited and has been teaching in London since 2010, with over 20 years of personal practice behind her.

It was through pregnancy that Jayne’s relationship with yoga deepened profoundly, evolving into a deep appreciation for the intelligence and capabilities of the human body. She went on to train with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Birthlight in Yoga for Pregnancy, Mums & Babies, as well as Jo Manuel at The Special Yoga Centre, focusing on yoga and mindfulness for children.

Jayne has also studied with inspiring teachers including Bo Forbes, Donna Farhi, Doug Keller, and Judith Hanson Lasater, enriching her approach through integrative yoga therapy, restorative yoga, yin, and mindful movement. Her teaching is compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply supportive.

In YTT26, Jayne will share the foundations of Pre- and Post-natal Yoga — exploring how to adapt and support yoga practices safely and meaningfully during these transformative stages of life, helping nourish and empower both mums-to-be and new mothers.

She will also introduce Yin Yoga , a slower, deeply meditative practice that works with longer-held postures to support the connective tissues, calm the nervous system, and cultivate stillness, awareness, and presence.

We’re so excited to welcome her wisdom and experience into the training. ✨

4 Gaga.Dancers Classes with Jannick 🧡

15th-18th June
10:30am-12pm

Gaga/dancers deepens dancers’ awareness of physical sensations, expands their palette of available movement options, enhances their ability to modulate their energy and engage their explosive power, and enriches their movement quality with a wide range of textures.

The classes are built on the same principles as Gaga/people classes but also employ the specific vocabulary and skills that are part and parcel of a dancer’s knowledge. The layering of familiar skills with Gaga tasks presents dancers with fresh challenges, and throughout the class, teachers prompt the dancers to visit more unfamiliar places and ways of moving as well, unlocking the endlessness of possibilities. Dancers are guided to connect their effort to pleasure and to discover the virtue of silliness.

See you all there!
