Final performances of Mammy’s House at Upstairs at the Gatehouse! 🏠🌈

We’re incredibly proud of our clients Derek Murphy and Stephen Cheriton, currently appearing in this beautiful and moving new play exploring the experiences of London’s Irish LGBTQ+ community during the AIDS crisis.

Co-created by our client Derek Murphy, alongside writer and co-creator Amy Clarke, Mammy’s House was developed through research and conversations with members of the community whose stories it brings to the stage.

Derek stars as Mammy/Barry, with Stephen appearing as Justin/Ginny Tonic, and the production has received a fantastic response:

Welcome to IAL, Julian Abelskamp 😄

Julian is a London based Dutch-American actor, writer, and educator. As an actor, he recently appeared in The Inheritance (Geffen Playhouse), ALIEN/NATION (Williamstown Theatre Festival, dir. Michael Arden), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Classical Theatre of Harlem), and has helped develop new plays at the Vineyard Theatre, EST, and Rattlestick, among others.

His first play, All I Ever Wanted (previously titled Ascension), had its inaugural reading at Huron Station Playhouse in Los Angeles in June of 2025, with further development at A.R.T. in New York City that Fall. He was recently interviewed about the project for the BBC World Service. Julian is adjunct faculty at Columbia University’s MFA Acting program, where he also graduated in 2022. Other education: Royal Central School of Speech and Drama; Universiteit van Amsterdam; Atlantic Acting School; UCLA Writers Extension Program.

Edinburgh Fringe, opening night! 🎭

Our funny and multi-talented Dillon Harris takes to the Fringe with The End of Reason, a stand-up comedy love triangle. Maybe.

An Irish comedian and regular writer of absurdist sketch comedy, Dillon was recently shortlisted for Chortle’s Chorts competition. He’s joined by fellow comedians Hannah Lloyd-Davies and Olly Miller for ten days at Westside Rodeo.

Wishing a warm welcome to our new client, James Knight! 🌟

James is a London based actor of mixed Filipino / Caucasian heritage who grew up in the Bahamas. He nursed a passion for acting and performing from a young age as a member of his academy’s drama club. He rediscovered that passion in 2017 when he auditioned and was selected to perform in the annual Shakespeare in Paradise festival organised by Ringplay Productions, subsequently becoming a regular participant and charter mmber of the Acting Company.

Since relocating to London permanently in 2022, James has further honed his acting craft through participation in professional and community-driven workshops and seminars. He expanded his focus to screen acting, finding regular work as a SPACT performer and serving as a main cast stunt double for a feature film. His sports include Scuba Diving, Yoga and Squash.

He also enjoys scriptwriting, and has collaborated with fellow artists to produce and film original scripts which he wrote or co-wrote. He is currently working on producing his first short film based on his original script for submission to festivals.
