“I can find excitement, I admit, in raindrops falling on a puddle.”— David Hockney

What if the extraordinary has been there all along? Art has a way of making us look again at what we might otherwise pass by.

David Hockney’s words are a reminder of the beauty already woven into everyday life—and of the artists who invite us to see the familiar from a different perspective.

Because art begins in the artist’s way of seeing—and continues in ours.

Where does an artwork really begin?
Sometimes, it begins with a search.

Sven Fennema traces places through archives and satellite maps before ever picking up his camera. Berthold Steinhilber finds his ideas on the move, returning to landscapes until light, weather, and perspective align.
For André Monet, the journey leads inward: he immerses himself in the lives of those he portrays, searching for the person behind the familiar face. And Andrey Yakovlev & Lili Aleeva turn inspiration from art, travel, cinema, and music into meticulously composed visual worlds.

Different paths, different rituals. What connects them is everything we rarely see: the searching, waiting, observing, and imagining before an artwork takes form.

ART DROP | RAFAEL NEFF | 12–14 September
Choose the one that’s yours.
"Pillow No. 1" by Rafael Neff is now available—exclusively for 72 hours at its special debut price.
Taking the soft, familiar form of a cushion, Neff translates it into heavy, highly polished brass. What looks yielding is unyielding. What appears light is unexpectedly heavy.

Made in a studio in Bavaria, every edge is welded like a seam and every surface polished by hand. As you move around the work, the brass catches the light, reflecting its surroundings, the movement—and the viewer.
The result is an invitation to distrust your own eyes: familiar in form, unexpected in material, and shaped by a process that makes every piece an original.

ART DROP | TOMISLAV MARCIJUŠ | 15–17 August
He takes us into an impossible world where crashing waves meet baroque grandeur.
Today, "Baroque Pools II" by Tomislav Marcijuš becomes available: 100 signed editions, each one a space built from memory — water breaking through marble and gold leaf, close enough to feel like you could step inside.

The edition comes in two finishes:
frameless under Acrylic Glass, or set in the black-and-gold "Barcelona" frame, its gold echoing the baroque gold leaf in the piece itself.

80 × 66 cm. 100 signed editions. When they're gone, there will be no more.

ART DROP | TOMISLAV MARCIJUŠ | 15–17 August
This room never existed. Tomislav Marcijuš built it anyway.

Marcijuš spent years photographing bathhouses in Budapest and churches in Italy. In „Baroque Pools II,“ those memories become architecture: water softens the weight of baroque form until a space that only ever existed in his mind feels like one you could walk into — built through artistic vision and generative technology.

This drop closes fast: three days, then it’s gone for good, or yours forever.

Alice Walker saw the world differently — literally.
For our latest ART DROP, Carol Muthiga-Oyekunle told us why that detail became the heart of „Alice.“ The vibrant forms crowning her portrait aren’t ornamental — they’re what Carol calls the unseen worlds we don’t always let ourselves notice.

„May we all learn to see with both the sighted and the unsighted eye, and find joy within.“
