Asteria's Press, an imprint of Hadean Press Limited, evolved from the Magickal Women Conference and our desire to publish a series of four anthologies featuring stories connected to the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, be they found in the world around us, or forged from the elements themselves. Elemental Fractions: EARTH is the first in the series. Submissions are now open for AIR.

We are creating a series of four anthologies featuring stories connected to the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, be they found in the world around us, or forged from the elements themselves. In the second title of this series, we invite people to explore the element of AIR.

We are seeking magical realism, fantasy, fairy tales, speculative fiction, historical fiction, supernatural fiction (not horror), weird fiction, science fiction – the theme of air is more important than what genre the fiction is.
Submissions should be between 2000 – 4000 words.
No simultaneous or multiple submissions; no re-submissions.
Previously unpublished in English—we ask for first English print and digital (epub) rights.

We at the Magickal Women Conference would love to hear from you as we establish ourselves as reviewers of both fiction and non-fiction. Historical magic, modern magic, folklore, witchcraft, eco-criticism, magical surrealism, how-to books, and divination systems – we are interested in reviewing books relevant to the interests of the community we serve.
