Hello hartslaners,
New for 2026, we are testing new ways of working with artists - what we can offer and how we can challenge conventional gallery systems. And so presenting, Autumnal.
Autumnal is our year-round artist interview series aimed to extend a show’s longevity and raise the profile of the artist’s featured. It’s a chance for a group to give more publicity to an exhibition or event, as well as becoming part of a larger archive.
We want to start giving pop up shows and diy culture more of the limelight and critical affirmation it deserves, with journalism, documentation and a write up.
Two of our team conduct an informal q&a where we get to know the contexts around your show. We’d like to know what inspired it, where it’s headed now, what it was like to respond to the gallery space etc. We’d also like to know some behind the scenes, what you’re reading, the backstory, the group dynamic.
Autumnal is open to artist groups who have used the gallery at hARTslane or have a show coming up. It’s an additional hire package where artists can have a published group interview that is linked on our website and socials.
We are very excited to officially launch Autumnal this month. Keep your eyes peeled on our website as we put together the Autumnal page, and our first Artist Interview will appear shortly, this week ✨
