The Hatcham Street Market is back for 2026 🥳

We would like to invite you to take part if you’re interested in running your own stall! (Info below)

Part of Hatch Fest 2026, the street market is an initiative by local residents, non-profit organizations and local businesses to celebrate the vibrant, diverse and creative community of Hatcham and New Cross Gate. 
This year the festival will run on Friday 18th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September.

On Saturday September 19th, from 11-4pm, for one day only we close off the street of Harts Lane and set up a street market with stalls for our locals and not so locals to sell their second hand items.

We have 20 stalls available and it is first come first served. Sign up for a stall via our linktree :)

hARTslane Artist Membership is open to artists at any stage of their career and from any background, offering opportunities to showcase and develop their work while being part of an exciting and supportive creative community. We keep our membership affordable and accessible, starting from £4/month. But as hARTslane is a not- for profit art space, any additional or larger contrbution will help keep our gallery running.

You’ll get:

Participation in the yearly Artist Members’ Annual Exhibition at hARTslane. Each year we pick a theme for artists to respond to.

Participation in the Artist Members’ Open Studios in hARTslane. This is a day of closed door, small group, peer feedback session from other hARTslane’s members on a piece of work of your choice. The session is 2 hours long and it’s followed by a pop up show open to the public. The hARTslane team will guide the session alongside a visiting artist.

The opportunity to propose an artwork for our Window Installation (annual open call for members only).

Optional access to the Member’s Whatsapp group. This is a space for members to share relevant news and updates. It’s also a practical tool and a way to support each other and nurture this community.

We’re excited to officially release the Spring Open Studios open call!

The Open Studios is an opportunity for Hartslane’s artists members to get peer and professional feedback on their work in a relaxed environment. We have 16 places available for this one, allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. 

The event will be ran by the hARTslane team and our visiting artist, Clive Burton!

DIY Residencies is an online presentation + workshop for artists and creatives who want to reclaim agency over their working conditions. We’ll explore artist-initiated residencies, share real case studies, and offer tools to help you design protected time, focus, and space for experimentation.
