Have you thought about what the most magical part of painting is?

One of the girls in this workshop said “you can literally make up any place in your mind and just go there on the canvas!” …and that’s so true. Anything you can imagine you can create! Anything. ✨

Do you make enough space in your weekly schedule for creative activities? Unfortunately the school system doesn’t have a lot of art in the curriculum, so stay intentional with this.

Hold space at least once a week, where you only focus on creativity - whether that’s taking part of Imaginarium, an art club or just painting on your own.

Why? Because as with anything, if they don’t continue to practice and develop creative skills, the kids individual imagination, innovation and creativity shrinks.

Vs…. What you practice daily / weekly you will master! Your friends will notice your skills in school, your creative confidence grows, and you will be ahead of those who aren’t as intentional with their time to stay creative.

Many of the artists taking part of Imaginarium are winning school art competitions and challenges (as their mothers proudly can confirm :).

In this post you can see Gracie and Leyana with friends recreating Claude Monet’s famous garden. They did very well practicing the techniques of Impressionism and mixing colours bravely straight on the canvas!

Claude Monet’s garden will be a returning theme during the month of June! Stay tuned for more xx

PS if you are interested in private art sessions in your home or group Imaginarium art experiences on King’s Road (Chelsea) - DM me for more information on how to get involved! Limited spaces available.

Being patient and trusting the process is key to success. Same applies to painting skills.

Every creation goes through the so called “ugly phase”. That’s where you are at after the first layer - and here is where most give up!! But what separates a high quality skilful painting from a basic one layer one is the time and effort put into it.

Every layer adds to the outcome. This is what we practice in my Imaginarium courses. Layer painting at a high level.

Confidence comes through experience. Push past the frustration of the first layer stage and give yourself the chance to see a painting transform into something you’re proud of. After a few times of noticing “This became my best painting yet because I didn’t give up,” you’ll start to recognise that this is simply part of the process.

So next time you feel like giving up on a painting - let it dry and add a layer. You’ll be surprised of the outcome! 🙌🏻

In this post: Paintings by Gracey and Leyana. Well done for continuously evolving and developing your skills. These paintings turned out so beautiful!

Aggelos home is turning into an art gallery, with his beautiful paintings on display in every room! Here is his latest completed art work. Look at the stunning shades on the sky 🙌🏻 I’m so proud of you.

One day we will have a real exhibition, I have a feeling…

He says I’m so lucky to have a job I actually enjoy - and I couldn’t agree more! They do say if you enjoy what you do, you won’t work a day in your life… :) Me and Aggelos aren’t far from 10 years of art sessions now!! So you can imagine his rich art collection by now.

Super well done!
(We are still debating whether it’s drones or birds on the sky… :)

What does it look like when you are developing your creative confidence as a 2-5 year old?

You know that moment when they go quiet, everything else around them dims out and their full focus is on shaping that clay into a round pebble …or mixing a nice shade of “pond blue” with different colours… That’s creative magic.

In the long run, they benefit so much more than just developing fine motor skills for school… It rewires the brain nervous system and has life long benefits, if you keep it up.

And, it sparks JOY. Isn’t that what life is all about in the end of the day?

Stay creative beautiful ones!

…and well done to all artists taking part! I love your smiles at the end of the session :) ❤️
See you next week! Xx

Rayanooooooo… you did it again!! 🙌🏻 It’s better than scoring a goal ⚽️ because a painting lasts forever 😉

It genuinely fills my heart to see this boy’s passion for painting. I’ve seen him go from doing sensory art play with me as a one year old, to growing up creating stunning masterpieces.

Rayan, don’t forget to invite me to your exhibition when you grow up! I’ll be your biggest fan, right after your mother. 🙌🏻
