If your lucky enough to still have your grandparents around, go and shop in their attic.

Anyone can buy brand new pieces but bringing items with history is what will make your home feel special.

As a designer, one of the things I love is bringing your story to life, by creating a home / business that feels unique.

What’s your favourite family antique item or your favourite find in your home?

As a designer, I trained my eyes to see potential everywhere I look.

When sourcing for projects I always go back to Salvage yards and antique centres.

There is magic in storytelling, we connect to spaces that makes us feel something.

In these short videos I will be sharing why I love antiques/vintage and how it can be used in your space.

So come along and let me know if you love antiques and why?

When designing this pub we discovered an interesting surprise!

Underneath years of plaster, we found this brick wall section that’s we managed to save it.

This corner of the pub was meant to seat 6 to 8 people so we used one of the old internal doors of this property and turned it into the perfect table (check photo 5) where the joiner is fixing the metal legs to the door.

Interior design isn’t just about making a space look beautiful but it’s about creating new stories for years to come.

Will you leave any exposed brick walls in your space?

This room didn’t need a full renovation,
It only needed few changes.

Sometimes I work with clients who only want small makeover so here are the things we did to transform this room:

We changed:

-The feeling in this space for a warmer and calmer one.
-The colour, from one accent wall in green to colour drench it in a warm stone tone.

-Replacing the chrome picture wall lights to a softer wall lights that works well with the new colour scheme.
-Vintage dresser replaced the modern white one.

-Bespoke headboards, we used faux leather as it’s easier to clean ( this is a rental cottage ).
-Soft furnishing, mixing different textures and layering the bed ( in your home you can add way more ).

-Choosing accessories that created the right mood.
(It only needs to make sense to you).

Which detail do you notice first in this quick makeover?

A little behind the scene from my current projects.

Interior design starts here, paint samples, joinery installation, problem solving, tiling choices, countless decision making that happens way before you see the finish project.

These two cottages are just few weeks away from welcoming their first guests.

Why the fruit picking signs?
The cottages are built on the family land where originally it use to be a strawberry picking farm.

Using the signs was paying homage to the family history.

Which detail are you most excited for?

Sister Jane X Petersham Nurseries

Such a beautiful event to celebrate Chelsea Flower Show.

Surrounded by colour, flowers, creativity and gorgeous dresses, I had the pleasure to attend the flower workshop at town house in London in collaboration with which is another one of my favourite places in the city.

It was a reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be perfect to make us feel something, I absolutely loved my bouquet which was wild just like nature.

How did you celebrate Chelsea Flower Show?

We misunderstood luxury for a long time.

What is luxury to you?

Real luxury is walking into a space and feeling your shoulders drop.

As an interior designer, I know the power our spaces can have on our wellbeing and that luxury is about feeling safe, comfortable and happy.

Not only with our spaces but with ourselves.

So let’s refine luxury and stop comparing ourselves and homes to others.
