We started Bboying in the year 2005 after attending the African Hip Hop Indaba in 2004

We then formed Rebel Squad as a Bboy crew who mainly focused on creative shows and battles

We have thus gained experience over the years dancing and doing workshops at many corporate events, festivals and community work thr

ough various High Schools and NPO`s

We have also entered various South African Bboy competitions namely African Battle Cry, R16 BBoy championships, Freestyle session, BTL, RedBull BC1 and most significantly the South African Battle of the Year where we placed 3rd in 2007…..two years after we had started Rebel Squad!! After gaining -+12 years of experience in the Art of Breaking/Bboying and also the business aspect of it behind the scenes, we are focused on re-building our brand to appeal not only to the performing arts/entertainment industry, but we are also looking to expand and venture into various other streams which will elevate our brand to being more than just a Bboy crew

Our end goal/vision for the brand is to create a well renowned reputation as a Bboy crew, establish a huge Online following, harness and assist new up and coming talent through our workshops and most importantly, to keep the Rebel Squad brand running as a official company long after we have stopped dancing.
