Before the world saw the Kingdom, three artists crafted it behind the scenes.

Every great universe has a story behind its creation. For LAGELU: The Kingdom on Four Hills, that story lives in the sketches, concepts, and creative genius of Mshindo Kuumba, Babajide “Briggs” Adebimpe, and Stanley Obende.

Now, THE LAGELU CODEX: SKETCH COMPANION opens a window into six years of artistic evolution in an exclusive 112-page digital archive.

Discover the art, the artists, and the imagination behind the Kingdom.

THREE MASTER ARTISTS. SIX YEARS OF WORLD-BUILDING. ONE KINGDOM YOU'VE NEVER SEEN LIKE THIS BEFORE.

Before “LAGELU” became an African epic, it was a pencil stroke.

NOW, FOR THE FIRST TIME, WE'RE OPENING THE ARCHIVES. Introducing “THE LAGELU CODEX: SKETCH COMPANION”- an exclusive 112-page digital journey behind the creation of “LAGELU: The Kingdom on Four Hills.” Six years of artistic exploration, concept development, and visual storytelling, revealed through the work of three remarkable masters:

MSHINDO KUUMBA- The Visionary Who Imagined the Kingdom.

An internationally acclaimed Afrofuturist whose signature sculptural kinetic realism merges ancestral African landscapes with breathtaking futuristic technology.

BABAJIDE “BRIGGS” ADEBIMPE-The Master Who Gave the Kingdom Its Identity.

A master illustrator whose extraordinary high-contrast inking transforms character concepts into unforgettable visual icons.

STANLEY OBENDE- The Cinematic Storyteller Behind Every Page.

The lead artist whose masterful command of light, shadow, and grayscale rendering brought the Kingdom to cinematic life.

THREE ARTISTIC VISIONS. ONE EXTRAORDINARY WORLD. From the earliest character sketches to the architectural imagination of an Afrofuturist civilization, the Codex captures something the finished graphic novel alone cannot reveal: “The extraordinary creative journey behind the art.”

And for Collectors, we're making that journey part of something special.

A HUMAN LETHAL WEAPON.

HE WAS BURIED IN A DARK PAST.

NOW HE’S COMING FOR THE TRUTH.

They call him SCORPION-

the deadliest assassin in the last surviving African kingdom.

A man whose blade has tipped the balance of power.

But beneath the legend is a man being hunted by something far more dangerous than an enemy:

his own forgotten past.

Fragments lead to Tokyo, Japan, then back to Lagelu.

Memories surface without explanation.

Connections he cannot understand refuse to disappear.

And somewhere inside everything Scorpion has forgotten is a truth powerful enough to either destroy the last African Kingdom… or save it.

Because in Lagelu, the deadliest weapon isn’t always a blade.

Sometimes, it’s the truth.

This October, enter an Afrofuturistic universe of ancient legacies, political intrigue, forgotten identities, and a kingdom fighting to survive.

WE X-RAYED THE KUDETI OF THE FUTURE.

What we saw was a vast district of labourers, artisans, dreamers and survivors, far from the throne of Eba-Odan, but never far from its consequences.

But every future has a beginning.
And every imagined future borrows something from what came before.

Kudeti was real long before our Kingdom was imagined.

So, what happens when the historical DNA of a real place becomes raw material for an Afrofuturist future?

After Eba-Odan and Fiditi, our lore journey arrives at Kudeti.

Enter the third chapter. Discover the history beneath the future.

Did you know that the name of one of West Africa's historic cities, "Ibadan," was actually Èbà-Òdàn, meaning "At the Edge of the Meadow"?

In 1829, the legendary warrior Lagelu founded Èbà-Òdàn- a city built on strategy, strength, and resilience.

For the past six years, we have used that rich history as the foundation for an epic, high-tech sci-fi kingdom.

Our latest blog post dives deep into the true history behind the lore and reveals how 19th-century Yoruba history became the blueprint for Lagelu: The Kingdom on Four Hills.

ÈBÀ-ÒDÀN: Where History Ends… The Future Begins.

What if one of Africa’s oldest stories never truly ended?

Long before Ibadan became a West African powerhouse, there was Èbà-Òdàn ("At the Edge of the Meadow")- founded in 1829 by the legendary warrior Lagelu.

Centuries from then, an imagined Èbà-Òdàn emerges as the high-tech capital of the last surviving African empire in Lagelu: The Kingdom on Four Hills. Ruled by the Alákìtì of Lagelu, it’s a civilization that refused to disappear.

Yet beneath its glowing streets and imperial throne lie secrets powerful enough to reshape everything…

The awakening begins this October.

Founding Collector Early Access Perks- Lagelu: The Kingdom on Four Hills, Creator’s Collector's Edition- a premium digital collection download created for collectors of Lagelu: The Kingdom on Four Hills. This includes:

DID YOU THINK THE STORY WAS OVER?

Six years ago, we brought you an Afrofuturistic web series that pushed the boundaries of African storytelling- raising the bar for narrative depth, cultural authenticity, and imaginative world-building.

Six years later, we return to the kingdom that started it all.

LAGELU: THE KINGDOM ON FOUR HILLS is back!

But this time, not as a web series.
Not as a comic book.

This is the definitive experience.

An expanded Graphic Novel Edition- bigger, richer, deeper, and more immersive than ever before.

The legends you remember.
The characters you love.
The secrets you never knew.

You thought we were done.

We were only laying the foundation.

The kingdom rises again.

LAGELU: THE KINGDOM ON FOUR HILLS
The story continues...

And this time, we're just getting started.

Coming later this year. The official release date will be revealed in the months ahead. Stay ready.
