As a DJ, promoter and head of Furthur Progressions Records, Hamish has been immersed in electronic music for many years. When by chance he attended his first rave at the tender age of 16 he knew he had found a special kind of music and scene, one which would grab hold and catapult him through many great experiences and adventures. Nearly two decades later and the catapult is still working strong!
When behind the decks Hamish is always looking to take the crowd on an experience through psychedelic music, ranging from the melodic to the hypnotic and carrying you along on strong and warm basslines. Always searching for music that will make your soul smile, his ear for a tune and for connecting tracks in a unique way is renown, as are his long sets that transition through from trippy techno to pounding progressive trance. From his early DJ days at parties and underground events in London, Hamish has performed around the world. Notable sets include: Glade Festival (UK), Boom (Portugal), Ozora (Hungary), Noisily (UK), Universo Parallelo (Brazil), Dream Temple (UK), Burning Man (USA) plus many more. As a promoter and event organiser Hamish has been behind some of the most visionary and high-level events in the UK, regularly turning London into an arena of psychedelic delights through carefully constructed experiences, with line-ups including artists such as Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Zen Mechanics, Perfect Stranger, Klopfgeister, Kasey Taylor, Cimi & Symbolic. In 2008, along with long-term DJ partner Mark Bedouin, he formed Furthur Progressions Records. Focusing on the release of high-quality progressive trance from a stable of dedicated artists, with releases spanning artist albums, EP’s and compilations, Furthur Progressions Records is established as one of the bastions of underground psychedelic and progressive music, with their artists performing around the world.
