This Saturday 17th October, A tribute to Peruvian cumbia and chicha sound. A journey to the sounds of the peruvian psychedelic amazon from Chacalon and Los Shapis to Los Mirlos and Los Destellos taking over London town.

Join us for our musical journey of rhythms on 17th September and every third Thursday of the month at Casa del Ritmo showcasing some of the best emerging new Latin acts London offers for FREE. Celebrate this week with us Chilean day & Mexican day with traditional music and latin classic folklore from the americas followed by a global Latin Jam for everyone.

We welcome WentruDomo, a London-based music group that performs Chilean and Latin American folk and pop music. The name comes from the Mapudungun (Mapuche) language, where "Wentru" means men and "Domo"means women. Alongside Ruka Bonfire playing traditional latin american music with Andean instruments.
Afterwards we bring our special Latin Jamm with Las Jammas bringing a mix of Latin music and global rhythms. Bring your own instruments and join us for Free.

This 20th July join us to celebrate Colombian independence day with a special tribute to the music of the amazing Queen of Cumbia and cultural icon "Toto la Momposina" by Angelica Lopez and her full band, one of the most recognized artists in the UK from Cartagena spreading Colombian folklore for many years around Latin America, Asia and Europe inspired by the traditional gaitas & Tambores, the sound of Papayera and the fusion of rhythms in the evolution of Toto's musical legacy.

An Independence Day fiesta like no other.

We celebrate the cultural icon who brought the sounds of Afro-Colombian and Indigenous traditions to audiences around the world, Totó La Momposina.

Through cumbia, bullerengue, tambora and mapalé, Totó preserved generations of musical tradition while inspiring countless Latin artists.

Led by Colombian singer Angelica Lopez and a full live band, the evening draws on the vibrant rhythms, rich percussion and communal spirit that defined Totó’s music.

Host & DJ CarlitosNiño will bring the past and present sounds of Colombian music. Unmisable night!

*Totó la Momposina passed away in Mexico in May 2026 at the age of 85. She will be remembered forever in our hearts. Thanks for all.

Shaped in Afro-Colombian culture, this is street-born Latin music built for big rooms, late nights, and bodies in motion.

The London Vallenato Legends are bringing the legacy and origins of Cumbia & Vallenato, playing the rural roots style from the Montes de Maria ro the city of Valledupar in Colombia's Atlantic coast. A tribute from London to all Vallenato legends (Juglares) of this unique musical genre popularized by Andres Landero the king of Cumbia, Lisandro Meza to Alfredo Gutierrez, Binomio de Oro y El cacique de la junta Diomedes Diaz among others.

The band is led by the powerful voice and the sounds of JaviMolina (Cartagena) on Caja vallenata, who also played with the famous legend Diomedes Diaz on his last European tour, alongside the accordion sound of BBCRadio 3 World Routes Academy 2012 protégée Hernando Arias, with his accordion songbook experience of the vallenato festival to flesh out the classic sounds and rhythms.

A bold bass guitar and trichord accordion player sound by David Morel from Seychelles. The backbone of Arriba la cumbia! and Londoner with a Colombian degree in parrandas and the rhythmic pulse of the rasping guiro/guacharaca a key part of the vallenato sound and Maracas from San Jacinto by the Wiro hero Mr Nino and special guests.

A very special musical trip to the origins of Chicha, born in nature of Ayahuasca in the Amazonic jungle, brought to you by these superb musical shamans.

Showcasing the classic sounds of Cumbia and Chicha from Peru and Latin America, the band brings to life the hybrid sound popular in the 60s and 70s that blends Amazonic and cumbia rhythms with psychedelic effects, the amplified strum of surf guitars ripping across a percussive bed of conga slaps, powerful cowbell and timbal sounds, bold bass and the gurgling rasp of a guiro, played with a fierce Latin energy.

The band is led by the powerful voice and the sounds of JaviMolina (Cartagena) on Caja vallenata, who also played with the famous legend Diomedes Diaz on his last European tour, alongside the accordion sound of BBCRadio 3 World Routes Academy 2012 protégée Hernando Arias, with the sweet accordion melodies to flesh out the sound and rhythms. He grew up in a Colombian household. José fell in love with vallenato, the popular folk style from the Caribbean coast of Colombia, which he learned through watching internet clips and video cassettes his father brought back from Colombia. José plays in several Latin music bands in London and dreams of becoming an ambassador for Vallenato music in Europe.

A bold bass guitar sound by David Morel a Seychelles, Londoner with a Colombian degree in parrandas and the rhythmic pulse of the rasping guiro/guacharaca a key part of the vallenato sound and Maracas from San Jacinto by the Wiro hero Mr Nino and special guests.
