Happy Equinox everyone! Not only is this an important day because the day and nights are equal, but this equinox is made more special by the fact that the Astrological Sun also conjuncts the Dragon's head today. The Dragon's head is not a planet, rather it is more akin to a nexus, an important meeting point between the respective equatorial planes of Sun, Moon and Earth. Today these 3 planes of consciousness are all in line. It is a good time to realign with our inner knowing.

These planes correspond to our heart (The Sun), our body (the Earth), and our emotions (the Moon).

It is using the Dragon's head that astrologers and priests have been able to predict eclipses since time immemorial and eclipses can only occur when sun and moon are aligned with this point.

There are some interesting images of the ancient gods of astrology on this link, these are dated from 1600. I have never seen Saturn depicted with a dragon-pet before, notice how the dragon is resting its foot on him in a submissive way.
