Thank you MummyTravels - family travel for reviewing our new Elfmas experience here at KidZania London!
We’re glad you valued the caring and sharing details to help kids do their bit and giveback during the season of goodwill!
[AD] Does it get much more Christmassy than writing a letter to Santa with a candy cane pen, while wearing an elf hat? At the weekend we were invited to KidZania London for the opening weekend of Elfmas, this year's string of festive activities running to January 7.
The emphasis is on giving back rather than getting, so after decorating our own bauble with a string of stickers, sequins, ribbons and sparkles, you're encouraged to make a card for someone who's important to you and gift it to them. Then as well as the wishlist for Mr Claus, a star with your wish for children worldwide.
Some other fun touches like an elf checklist, encouraging you to smile at new people, plus during December you're also encouraged to donate your KidZos (the play city's currency) - KidZania will match each donation, helping support a project with charity KidsOut to allow disadvantaged children to come and experience the role play city's activities for themselves.
You get extra time to enjoy Elfmas plus the usual four-hour slot to explore and kids to try out the different roles on offer - which meant acting, dancing, looking after animals, fashion designing and a quick trip to a hotel for my daughter. Well, like mother, like daughter! Ho ho ho...
