I often knit or crochet while watching TV, usually simple corals that do not require much concentration, and keep them in an organza bag. Every now and then, I empty it out to see what I have created while absorbed in a BBC documentary or drama π
I used to think that I was the type who must finish each project before starting a new one, but now I always have different projects going on at the same time. Having multiple projects lets me switch between tasks depending on my mood, keeping the creative process fresh and exciting π When one project starts to frustrate or bore me, I simply switch to another. I may be stitching one embroidery in the morning, crocheting corals for another in the afternoon, and later planning and gathering yarns and threads for a third π
Sometimes, when I have a deadline or want to finish a commission, I can stitch for hours non-stop, but when there is no rush, it is so nice to give my eyes, hands, shoulders, neck, and back a break from intense stitching! π
