“Liminal” Art Exhibition

22nd August 2026 from 6pm to 9pm

Exhibition dates:

23rd – 31st August 2026

“Liminal” brings together four artists whose work navigates the intersections of space and time treating them as overlapping states of becoming.

This exhibition explores the architecture of the transition—those quiet, often overlooked moments where one state of being ends and another has yet to begin.

These works do not seek to provide a destination. Instead, they dwell in the process. By stripping away the context of “arrival” .

The threshold is no longer a barrier to be crossed, but the subject itself, and to linger in the suspension, where the only certainty is the movement between.

“Liminal” invites us to linger in the suspension of the in-between, confronting the ethereal beauty of the “non-place”.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the opening of my solo exhibition, Between Opposites, at House of Estila.

The exhibition was organised by Natalia Giacomino, Natalia Giacomino Architects, and Creations Atelier, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate art, creativity, and collaboration.

The evening explored how different creative disciplines can come together to create a richer experience. My paintings, influenced in part by my time living and working in China, became the starting point for a collaboration extending beyond visual art.

A special thank you to Paola Sibilla, who translated the artwork into a thoughtfully curated culinary experience, and to Thomas Calcutt and Yu Hui Zong, who composed and performed original music inspired by the paintings. Their contributions transformed the exhibition into a truly multidisciplinary experience.

A heartfelt thank you also to Paola Minekov, Ali Ker, and Karolina Barnes for their support in making the evening such a success and to Nick from Essex Social Boost for documenting the evening with this beautiful video

As both an architect and an artist, I strongly believe that creativity thrives through collaboration. Bringing together artists, musicians, designers, and professionals from different backgrounds is at the heart of what we do at Creations Atelier, creating opportunities for dialogue, connection, and new ideas.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an inspiring evening.

The exhibition remains open until 20 July, and I would be delighted to welcome anyone who has not yet had the opportunity to visit.

Come and join us tonight!

BE CREATIVE IN YOUR BUSINESS - THINK LIKE AN ARTIST

Networking Event Today 8 July, 5-7pm, House of Estila, 66a Turnmill St, Next to Farringdon Station.

Our inspirational speaker today is the self-taught Kurdish-Danish conceptual artist Ilyas Kirkan, whose work has been exhibited in twenty cities across twelve countries, inlcluding France, Canada, Japan and the United States.

Born in central Anatolia and raised in Copenhagen, Kirkan has lived in London for almost two decades before relocating to Lisbon to become a full-time artist.

Kirkan has been awarded arts funding in Denmark to create “The Heavenly Window”, a conceptual outdoor sculpture that is public, architectural, and interactive in nature. Designed to engage the municipality's citizens, the project aims to spark curiosity and interest in art, deepen self-awareness, foster connection and integration, and encourage people to come together in shared public spaces.

Through his abstract, layered, textured collage-based paintings, Kirkan has gained international recognition for challenging conventional perceptions of art and artistic identity. His work encourages both artists and audiences to question fundamental ideas such as: What is art? And Who is an artist?

08/07/2026

Join us tonight for creative networking and discussion, led by Ilyas Kirkan, 5-7pm at House of Estila, 66a Turnmill St (Next to Farringdon Station, London).
