Bermondsey Carnival Bermondsey Carnival is making a triumphant return! Our goal is to provide entertainment for every generation, from grandchildren to grandparents.

A dedicated team has come together to honour the late Carnival founder and beloved Bermondsey legend, Russell Dryden, ensuring that this event continues in his memory.� A dedicated team has come together to honour the late Carnival founder and beloved Bermondsey Legend, Russell Dryden, ensuring that this event continues in his memory.�

The carnival will be held on the bank holiday Monday, the 26th of August, at Southwark Park. Admission is free, and we have lined up a fantastic selection of performances, activities, stalls, and more for a day filled with excitement. Join us for a day of fun and celebration!

And then it got dark.
THE ARTFUL DODGER closed the main stage and the whole field went with them. The BSC x PEEK tent did not stop until we physically turned it off.
Three generations in the same crowd, all night.

Bank holiday Monday. Southwark Park.

What a day.

Swipe for the good bits. Dancing before the first drink was finished. Kids flying off the bungee. A proper five-a-side going off with @ . Glitter everywhere in the craft tent. The sweet sweet churros queue. And that last golden hour where the whole park went amber and nobody wanted to leave.

Free to get in. Always has been. It only works because you turn up, and you turned up.

ONE WEEK AGO TODAY.

We were all having a cracking time in Southwark Park, and here is the proof. The 2026 Carnival wrap video is live.

Watch it back and it all comes flooding in. So many of you, one park, one very good day. As the Mayor said on the day, there is unity in this community, and SE16 is something special. We are already thinking about 2027. Every year we set out to make it better than the last, and every year you lot make that easy. Southwark's oldest community event, and it is yours.

The are opening Bermondsey Carnival 2026.

They get together every Wednesday to bash out the hits, and they're bringing the whole lot down to Southwark Park. Expect 30 plus people onstage, all strumming through the classics at once.

Meet us at The Blue for a Walk & Talk with local hero and . 💚

This Bank Holiday, the boys are bringing their hugely popular Sunday Stroll from Essex to Bermondsey! Starting at the Bank Pub, the walk will take us to Southwark Park via Southwark Park Road — getting people together, getting moving and raising vital awareness of mental health.

Then catch Tom and Rob on the Main Stage at 3:30pm for an uplifting conversation about the power of the mind, mental health and why none of us should have to face life’s challenges alone.

And after that, Rob will be getting the guitar out for a song or two! 🎸

Walk. Talk. Connect. Celebrate.
