Honoured to have been a part of documenting the journey of myself and others through our continuing battles with Alopecia. It’s been such a liberating experience to have been part of a group project and to know that I am not alone in my struggles - the main thing I am going to take away from it is that you have to own it or else it will own you!

Thank you to all who have supported me on my journey so far, it's been a long and slow process but ultimately I have been lucky when so many aren't; having been able to share in the experience of others I now know some will never have hair again. My largest patch of hair loss continues to shrink and the smaller you can no longer see, I am finally able to see the long awaited light at the end of the tunnel.

So, it's taken me a while to feel ready to post a few shots of my recent events. It's been a journey which has knocked my confidence and in limited opportunities but it's a road I am hopeful is finally coming to a close. The last few months have been difficult enough for us all, doing our best to keep positive with the current state of the world; but one thing I have learned is that we need to be able to speak openly with those we love and trust to get through it all.

For those that know me well I think it's safe to say I'm not someone who usually undergoes confidence issues, so to find myself now uncomfortable with any form of spotlight has been a real challenge. The industry I am lucky enough to love and work in has come so far with diversity and inclusion but what my own experience has shown me is that there is still a long way to go; I have thus far missed out on countless modelling opportunities and unfortunately a Netflix series and it has at times really knocked the wind out of my sails.

I'm hoping that Alopecia is going to be a once in a lifetime experience for me; an autoimmune disorder defect which causes hair loss. There is still a great deal to discover about the causes, some say it's stress related although a lot of the information differs. My hair is thankfully growing back (seemingly white at this moment) which is undoubtedly why I feel more ready to talk about it. The main reason for doing so is to encourage anyone who has or is going through something similar to reach out. I'm happy to offer any advice or knowledge that I have managed to learn on my journey, or lend an ear to those who might need it.

Birthday 🎂 thanks for all the messages and calls love you all, can’t believe another year has spun by. If I could have told you we would be involved in a global pandemic last year you would have laughed in my face. It’s been a hard and stressful year for most of us! Got to keep up high spirits and get up no matter what tries to knock us down!

Blood, sweat, tears & fears

Is it just human instinct to fear the unknown, or are we being held hostage by our own fears.
Growth and change is all that should appeal. We have to reflect on our mental habits and remain in control of the little devils tearing our confidence apart.
It’s hard to self teach love, when our initial ideas of what love is, can be wrong.
Remember self-love is kind, positive and has no boundaries.
