🤛 CARL CAMPBELL DANCE
. TO
JEAN BINTA BREEZE
Oh, our beautiful poet, I knew you well, and, although journeys have taken different roads, the memories of your recitals will never be forgotten. Oh, you Africa-Jamaican woman; smiles of a beautiful and true humanity's womanity, you gave us many dreams and way out of our desert of delusions and confusions. How to explore the ability to develop inner creativity.
Blessed be sweet child of Jah. JahGuidance as you journey through your "Spiritual Path" to a New Beginning.

"Beverley, Beverley" was written in the Kingdom of Lesotho in Southern Africa in 1975, while Carl was teaching Contemporary dance at the University of Lesotho in Roma. The song was first performed at the Holiday Inn, Maseru with the resident band. For Valentine's day, here the song is dedication to all Beverleys, wherever you are.

While visiting Runaway Bay, Jamaica, Carl Campbell was invited by the manager of the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean to work with their resident dancers.

"OUR CULTURE, OUR
FREEDON, OUR RIGHTS,
AND OUR FAMILY WAYS
OF LIFE ARE ROOTED IN
OUR LAND"
Friends of CCDC7/CCRTMEMBERS, families and fellow arts professionals. This visual dance exhibition; instillation, poetry and movements at 91 Peckham High St. London SE15 5R2, was a tribute and acknowledgement of the work and contribution CCDC7 have made to the performing art and professional lives of people; on TV, stage, schools, Dance schools, colleges, university and in the Community to thousands of young people, elderly, children and adults, who have experience the ethos and visions of the legendary Carl Campbell.
The exhibition was the idea of Kathy O'Brien, Development Worker in 2015 who wanted passersbys and local members of the public to see visual images of the Company's work throughout the years and to respectfully acknowledge Phil Polglaze, photographic genius, for his commitment to Carl and the work of CCDC7. Our Culture was also seen in 2018 as part of CCDC7 40th and the 32nd year of (CCRTS): The Carl Campbell Recycled Teenagers Music Dance Theatre Programme in the UK and Jamaica. Lastly, 2023, with a brief lecture and discussion, the video, "Our Culture" was featured on Zoom in acknowledgement, of 45 years since Carl leave the West End Stage and turned down a recording contract to form CCDC7, a Contemporary Caribbean Dance Theatre to try and make a positive difference.
Let us know what you think.

"Awakening". A woman influenced by two strong men in her life, one a poet and the other a farmer. To one she was a daughter, the other a wife. Both were great influences in her life. Choreographed by Carl Campbell, the theme challenged family perception.
