The final leg of our A Celtic Christmas tour brings us to one of Surrey’s most atmospheric arts spaces — the beautifully restored 🌟 The Horton, Epsom 🌟

A Grade II listed gem, The Horton once served as a hospital chapel and gathering place, steeped in stories of care, community and resilience. Today, its lovingly renewed walls hold a new kind of magic — a space where art, music and history meet. Step inside and you feel it at once: the echo of bygone voices, the warmth of its wooden beams, and the glow of a venue reborn for creativity.

On Friday 19 December 2025 at 8pm, we bring our Celtic celebration of carols to this intimate and inspiring home of the arts 🎻✨ Let the harmonies fill the rafters, let the stories of winter and folklore dance through the hall, and let the spirit of the season wrap around you in this extraordinary setting 🪗❄️

Join us in Epsom for a night where history breathes, the season sparkles, and Christmas truly comes alive ☃️🌟

Last, but definitely not least, in our cast announcement series is Josh Newman on the fiddle 🎻

After growing up around folk clubs and the English tradition on the East Kent coast Josh spent his teenage years studying classical violin, viola, and voice at Junior Guildhall and Chetham’s School of Music. Having found his way back to traditional music Josh splits his time between English and Irish music as a freelance player and in Moonaroon and The Oakstone Trio. He released his debut solo album From the Floor in November of 2023.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Josh join the A Celtic Christmas band this year and his playing brings a very special, warm and enchanting sound to our show.

Tomorrow is the first show in our 2025 tour, so time is running out to get your tickets! Link in bio for more information 🎫

Long before Halloween the ancient Celts marked Samhain, a sacred festival celebrating the end of the harvest and the beginning of the dark half of the year. 🍂

It was a time when the veil between worlds was said to thin, when spirits could pass, and when fires burned bright to honour ancestors and welcome renewal. 🔥

As winter crept closer, people gathered around light and music, keeping warmth and community alive — much like we still do today. Over centuries, Samhain’s echoes blended into All Hallows’ Eve, and later, the joyful traditions of Christmas and Yule — carrying forward that same Celtic spirit of connection, remembrance, and light in the darkness. 🕯

Join us, leading up to Christmas, as we celebrate that timeless spirit with traditional celtic instruments and favourite carols, where ancient melodies sung live, meet festive magic 🎄
