✏️Written countless new pieces of theatre (Kinsman and The Dinner Party being performed to paying audiences)

Happy New Year!!

We are back running 2 sessions a week at Victoria and Charing Cross Libraries!!

Come and join us for lots of games, silliness and confidence boosting!!

We had so much fun on our first session back on Tuesday and are looking forward to welcoming you all back tomorrow at Victoria!

Our dms and emails are always open and we hope to see you soon at a Balancing Act workshop!

We had such a brilliant year and feel very grateful - it was a pleasure to work with so many wonderful participants. A few highlights included the Christmas celebrations where it was a joy to see the connections made over the last year. Devising and performing ‘The Dinner Party’ with a small group of participants at the Cockpit, and all the belly laughs from brilliant work in the sessions.
We are very excited to restart next week- our sessions are free for anyone over 18.
Tuesday Charing Cross library 7-9 ( starting Jan 6th)
Friday Victoria Library 4:30-6 ( starting Jan 9th)

You're invited to the most awkward dinner of your life! Join 7 friends as they try and work out where everything went wrong and how they can fix it! Join us for a wacky, slightly absurd and definitely silly new play devised by Balancing Act Theatre Arts and Participants from Charing cross Library hub.

We are so excited to be part of scratch night Theatre in the £ happening on the 15th December!

Everyone has been working really hard on this and we are excited about sharing it with you all!

Tickets are £1 and can be bought through the link in our bio.

Meet Adam Carvell the newest member of Balancing Act Theatre Arts.

🎉We are so excited to be bring Kinsman to on the 18th July as part of their amazing Generator Programme!!

Join us for an evening of joy, hope and just a little lust at The Market founded in 2006 for the trade and export of human emotions!

We’ve got your glad, your mad, your sad and you’d have to be insane (we sell that on stall 34) to ignore these fantastic deals! Join the cast of Kinsman as they grapple with all that modern life has to throw at us whilst trying to buy their way to happiness. Modern life isn’t easy but what if there was somewhere you could go to buy all those pesky feelings your family and friends have been begging you to feel? Well you’re in luck! Head on down to the market, invite only, in the car park behind the big Lidl!

Kinsman is written and performed by participants from Balancing Act Theatre Arts’ Stage Your Mind programme. Over 12 weeks, the cast developed this new piece of theatre as a way of building confidence, promoting wellbeing and connecting as a community. Having received support from Westminster Council the group first performed the piece in March 2025 and cannot wait to share this with audiences !

We are so excited to be able to keep offering our free devising sessions at Charing Cross and Victoria Libraries!

With you, we've made some hilarious and amazing bits of theatre and we are excited to keep going!

We'll be performing at Tramshed in July with a piece we made in these sessions so we can't wait to get making with you all in August!

If you wonder what we get up to on a Tuesday evening and a Friday afternoon here it is!!

Come and join us at Charing Cross (Tuesdays) and Victoria (Fridays) Libraries and get stuck into our 13 weeks of devising!

We'll be making characters, telling stories and making connections!
