Dream, Play, Create is the brainchild of artist and writer friends Jodi Jones and Laura Hailstone. Having used vision boards for over 10 years to motivate and inspire them in their own personal and professional endeavours, the pair have developed a
fun, succinct process of creating vision boards for both individuals and businesses. The carefully designed workshops are a great way of tapping into the subconscious and finding out what’s really important to you. The Dream, Play, Create workshops cover various themes such as career, wellbeing, personal growth, creativity, relationships and can also be tailored for corporate companies to cover specific business goals or team-building events. They have been designed to illuminate your life or business. Through a series of steps you’ll uncover the gold and shine a light on new or forgotten dreams and goals. Each workshop will start with an agenda or a quest, helping participants explore what areas they want to focus on during the workshop. Be it a new career, team building, clarity of a business project, retirement and what to do next, the range of topics that vision boards can help you tap into are far-reaching. The first part of the workshop starts with posing a series of quick-fire questions to stimulate your lateral brain. The second stage we call ‘Select & Collect’. Images and words are torn and cut from a variety of source material. Next up is ‘Edit & Design’: all collected material is edited and you begin to design your board individually or in a group. The ‘Evaluate & Celebrate’ stage is our favourite part. In small groups all work is evaluated allowing everyone to contribute and inspire each other. This section is always an occasion for celebration, discovery and connection. Vision boards are a very powerful way of understanding and connecting to what really matters to you right now. Sticking up your vision board where you’ll see it every day – or even making it your screensaver – makes it become a fantastic visual reminder of what it is you want to achieve or do.
