We are thrilled to announce that SIFFA 2026 will take place from 19–26 November 2026 at the iconic Vue Piccadilly, in the heart of London’s West End.

We could not have imagined a more inspiring finale to our SIFFA Masterclass, The Sun of Sergei Prokofiev: How to Film a Great Composer. The event concluded in the most extraordinary and moving way imaginable — with an intimate private concert by our special guest, Gabriel Prokofiev ().

Our guests were treated to a truly unique musical experience featuring the remarkable Gabriel Prokofiev — composer, pianist, producer, founder of (), grandson of the great composer Sergei Prokofiev, and son of the distinguished artist and poet Oleg Prokofiev.

Gabriel has built an outstanding international career of his own, bringing classical music into dialogue with contemporary culture while honouring the legacy of one of the most celebrated artistic families of the twentieth century.

Joined by the exceptionally talented young saxophonist Oliver Tesic () and an outstanding cellist, Gabriel filled the room with music, warmth, and creativity. There was no distance between performers and audience — only the rare privilege of experiencing world-class musicians at close quarters, sharing not only their artistry but also their passion for music.

It was the perfect ending to a day dedicated to learning, inspiration, and artistic exchange.

Our heartfelt thanks to Gabriel for his generosity, brilliance, and friendship.

We created SIFFA to bring extraordinary artists and audiences together and to celebrate the power of culture to connect generations.

THE SIFFA SUMMER DIARIES

Continuing our story of ‘The Sun of Sergei Prokofiev’.

These photographs are not from a break. They are from the conversation continuing 😁.

During our masterclass, the kitchen at Prokofiev Studio unexpectedly became an extension of the exhibition space. Conversations about music, cinema, art and creative heritage carried on long after the formal programme had paused.

A special highlight was the homemade Ossetian pies prepared by Ludmila Bardhoshi Ludmila Bardhoshi , who arrived wearing a beautiful traditional Ossetian dress, bringing a piece of the Caucasus to London.

Live piano music by Evgenia Terentieva , Oleg Prokofiev’s artworks, guests from different countries, wine, fruit, stories and laughter created something that felt less like an interval and more like a living cultural salon.

What touched us most was the warmth of the human connections that emerged throughout the day. There were heartfelt embraces, words of gratitude, and even tears. Some of these photographs captured those moments - reminders that art is not only about ideas and creativity, but also about people and the emotions they share.

At some point it became difficult to tell where the masterclass ended and life began.

And that was beautiful.

☀️ Art does not live only on the stage, in the concert hall or on the screen.

It lives in conversations, friendships, memories, and in the moments that move us to tears.

It simply lives among people in every moment of life.

☀️ ЛЕТНИЕ ДНЕВНИКИ SIFFA

Продолжаем наш рассказ о проекте «Солнце Сергея Прокофьева».

Эти фотографии сделаны не во время перерыва. Они сделаны во время продолжения разговора 😁.

Во время нашего мастер-класса кухня Prokofiev Studio неожиданно стала продолжением выставочного пространства. Разговоры о музыке, кино, искусстве и творческом наследии продолжались ещё долго после завершения официальной программы.

Особым украшением встречи стали домашние осетинские пироги, приготовленные Людмилой Бардоши , которая приехала в прекрасном национальном осетинском костюме, привезя с собой частичку Кавказа в Лондон.

Живая музыка в исполнении Евгении Терентьевой Evgenia Terentieva, картины и скульптуры Олега Прокофьева, гости из разных стран, вино, фрукты, истории и смех создали атмосферу, которая была уже не просто антрактом, а настоящим культурным салоном.

Особенно трогательными стали человеческие моменты. Нас обнимали, благодарили, делились своими впечатлениями. Были искренние эмоции и даже слёзы. Некоторые из этих фотографий сохранили такие мгновения — напоминая о том, что искусство живёт не только в произведениях, но и в сердцах людей, которых оно объединяет.

В какой-то момент стало трудно понять, где закончился мастер-класс и началась жизнь.

И это было прекрасно.

☀️ Искусство живёт не только на сцене, в концертном зале или на экране.

Оно живёт в разговорах, дружбе, воспоминаниях и в тех моментах, которые трогают нас до глубины души.

Оно просто живёт среди людей - в каждом мгновении жизни.

One of the most moving moments of our SIFFA Masterclass, ‘The Sun of Sergei Prokofiev’, was this reading of Oleg Prokofiev’s poetry.

In this video, SIFFA Founder and President Luba Balagova reads Oleg Prokofiev’s poem in the original Russian, while composer Gabriel Prokofiev, Founder of Prokofiev Studio, reads the English translation.

Surrounded by Oleg Prokofiev’s paintings and sculptures, guests found themselves at the meeting point of three generations of an extraordinary creative dynasty: Sergei Prokofiev through music, Oleg Prokofiev through poetry, painting and sculpture, and Gabriel Prokofiev through his contemporary musical voice.

For a few hours, music, poetry, painting, sculpture, memory and two languages shared the same space.

For calendars, generations replace one another.

For art, they continue the conversation.

Three generations. One artistic legacy.
Prokofiev’s radiant sun. ☀️

Одним из самых трогательных моментов нашего мастер-класса SIFFA «Солнце Сергея Прокофьева» стало чтение стихов Олега Прокофьева.
В этом видео основатель и президент SIFFA Любовь Балагова () читает стихотворение Олега Прокофьева на языке оригинала — русском, а композитор Габриель Прокофьев, основатель Prokofiev Studio, читает его английский перевод.
В окружении картин и скульптур Олега Прокофьева гости оказались на пересечении трёх поколений выдающейся творческой династии: Сергея Прокофьева — через музыку, Олега Прокофьева — через поэзию, живопись и скульптуру, а Габриеля Прокофьева — через его современный музыкальный голос.
На несколько часов музыка, поэзия, живопись, скульптура, память и два языка объединились в одном пространстве.
Для календаря поколения сменяют друг друга.
Для искусства их разговор продолжается.

Yesterday, SIFFA founder Luba Balagova Kandour chaired a highly productive and inspiring coordination meeting at the Prokofiev Studio ahead of the upcoming SIFFA Masterclass: “The Sun of Sergei Prokofiev — How to Film a Great Composer.”

The meeting brought together organisers, participants, and collaborators of the event, including Gabriel Prokofiev — founder of the Prokofiev Studio and grandson of the legendary composer Sergei Prokofiev.

Joining us online were internationally acclaimed documentary filmmaker Richard Belfield and concert pianist, composer, producer, and founder of Musica Nova Academy, Evgenia Terentieva Jakubowski.

We also worked closely with the professional filming and live-stream team who will be recording and broadcasting the event, while many of our dedicated SIFFA team members continue working tirelessly behind the scenes.

Everyone involved is putting enormous care, passion, and energy into making this masterclass a truly special cultural event where cinema, music, poetry, memory, and artistic legacy come together in one unique space.

«Солнце Сергея Прокофьева — как снимать великого композитора».

Во встрече приняли участие организаторы, участники и партнёры мероприятия, включая Габриела Прокофьева — основателя Prokofiev Studio и внука легендарного композитора Сергея Прокофьева.

В онлайн-режиме к нам присоединились всемирно известный документалист Ричард Белфилд, а также пианистка, композитор, продюсер и основатель Musica Nova Academy Евгения Терентьева-Якубовски Evgenia Terentieva.

Также состоялась рабочая встреча с профессиональной командой, которая будет осуществлять съёмку и живую трансляцию мастер-класса, в то время как многие бессменные участники команды SIFFA продолжают напряжённую работу за кадром.
