Hello whoever you are reading this. I hope you are well in these crazy times.
It's been a while since I posted an update, so here goes.
Ever since I stopped making music in bands..oh like 10+ years ago now and started making music on my own, my creative output kind of dropped off completely. A lot of my creative energy came from performance, so without that factor there ceased to be a reason to do it for a while.
I sort of came to terms with this due to required lifestyle changes but some things don't change and I kept on making music. It just didn't go anywhere at all. And lets be honest, there is nothing wrong with that if making music is a sort of cathartic experience for you and a way of balancing s**t in your head. Then more power to you.
But I couldn't help but feel my music could be enjoyed more and suit more of a purpose that just me listening to it. So I decided it needed a platform to do that. Well, soundcloud, youtube, whatever the latest social media sharing trend is... they are oversaturated and to be honest not suitable for non populist genres like the kind I tend to output. I ain't taking part in any pi***ng competitions. I just want to output audio and have it a purpose a background a story, something visual.
For the last year and a bit I have been focusing my efforts on building a platform for which to make music to because before that it was just output with no real purpose.
Times have moved on and it's been a learning experience with me putting most of my free time into learning about UnrealEngine4.
For the uninitiated, it's a game building engine and interactive platform I guess.
But the idea will be that once I have built and grown a bit with this platform, I can start actually putting my audio to use where it belongs. In it's own interactive visual mediums.
Still here? Thanks for reading through even though you skipped a few bits. Basically, keep an eye out for more bits from me soon including possibly a new page that will be focused more so on UE4 stuff than just music. If you want to hear more about this, stay in touch and I'll keep you posted.
Stay Safe!
