Tormore started distilling in 1960 and has been quietly producing whisky ever since without interruption and with few official bottlings. However, new owners Elixir Distillers are starting to shake things up, releasing first the Blueprint range of whiskies to showcase Tormore’s future character, then the Legacy range, diving into the distillery's warehouses to show where it has come from, and which we were thrilled to have one expression as a show exclusive.

Now the core range has been revealed and we can't wait to share these new drams with you.

In a first for The Whisky Exchange, we're hosting a walk-around tasting on 25 June bringing together both wines and whiskies to celebrate the brilliant innovation happening across England. English wine has hit a stride now and there is routine news of our wines beating their French cousins.

English whisky is beginning to break through and producers are focused on creating whisky on their own terms. There is an incredible energy in the industry and we can't wait to share some brilliant drams with you.

A fixture in the Old & Rare community in China, Edward started his whisky journey by, in his own words, spending far too much time going to whisky fairs, searching for elusive bottles and trying to taste everything under the sun.

After turning his hobby into his career, he’s bottled a series of casks, imported a brand or two into China, and opened countless old & rare bottles at tastings.

Although his favorite distillery is Longmorn, he particularly enjoys opening obscure bottles that nobody has tried before.

The list of achievements Sukhinder has achieved is extremely impressive. He co-founded The Whisky Exchange in 1999 and was one of the driving forces that saw it grow into the leading spirits retailer. Along the way he co-founded Whisky Show, Whisky.Auction and Elixir Distillers. He sold The Whisky Exchange in 2021, which allowed him to focus on new projects, including building his Islay distillery, Portintruan, and breathing new life into the Speyside distillery, Tormore.

All that has been driven by Sukhinder's passion for whisky. He has curated one of the greatest collections ever assembled, built upon his own deep understanding and appreciation of the liquid. His interests have tended to pull towards Macallan and Islay, but the list of distilleries and distillates he loves is as vast as his encyclopedic knowledge of the spirit.

Curated by Jason Vaswani, our Old & Rare Buyer, the lineup for the stand is able to draw on his deep expertise and the vast selection of bottles that pass through The Whisky Exchange. Past years have had noted showings of the iconic Karuizawa as well as pours that like 1980s Glenmorangie are excellent places to begin your journey in these collectable spirits.
