Vivienne Westwood is saying that climate change is connected to our culture of overconsumption.

Instead of constantly buying, using and discarding things for ourselves, she believed we should value culture, creativity, community and our relationships with one another.

In simple terms: if we cared more about people, ideas and the planet—and less about owning more things—we would live far more sustainably.

Multimedia artist Annie Morris is renowned for her ongoing series of “Stack” sculptures, which consist of precarious towers made from colorful, lumpy spheres that she hand-molds using foam and sand before casting them in bronze and painting them with raw pigment. These sculptures, born from the artist’s grief following a stillbirth, embody an impossible balancing act that symbolizes the triumph of hope and creativity in the face of adversity. In addition to her sculptures, Morris creates whimsical tapestries and illustrations featuring abstract designs, as well as floral and feminine themes. She has showcased her work in cities such as London, New York, Milan, Mumbai, and Rome. Notable institutions like the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Pérez Art Museum Miami, and the University of Colorado Art Museum have acquired her pieces

A slightly rebellious quote about women over 40 reaching a point where they’re less willing to tolerate nonsense.

The “rage” isn’t necessarily literal anger. It’s about accumulated experience, stronger boundaries and no longer feeling the need to please everyone or stay quiet.

Essentially: with age can come confidence, clarity and a much lower tolerance for bu****it.

Virginia Woolf is saying that many important works by women throughout history may have been published anonymously because women weren’t given the same freedom, recognition or opportunities as men.

“Anon” means anonymous. Woolf suggests that behind many unsigned poems, books and other creative works, there may well have been a woman whose name was never recorded.

It’s a powerful statement about women being written out of cultural history — creating, thinking and contributing, but often without receiving the credit.
