Something really exciting is happening for Women in Art / The Women in Art Prize. next year,

We are partnering with Secteur Privé gallery, For the 10th Women in Art Prize 2027, in March and a special 10th-anniversary finalists celebration,

It will be 10 years of championing women artists.
This will include a launch event, artist talks, past-winner stories, social campaigns and the official opening of the 2027 submissions.

September 2027 exhibition we will make the finalists event a true 10th-anniversary celebration — bringing together the 2027 winners alongside past winners, judges, sponsors and supporters, telling the story of how the Prize has grown over the decade, all this in the most beautiful space in the heart of London.

Marina Priyomova’s paintings emerge from memories triggered by sound and vision. Working on burlap, a material deeply connected to Ukrainian agrarian culture, she explores memory, history and inherited knowledge.

Through layers of creation and erasure, figures move between abstraction and form. Her works bring past and present together, creating a space where memory and imagination meet, and where knowledge is passed through generations without words — through touch, song and gesture.

Yesterday we met with Jane Andrews one of our The Women in Art Prize. winners

Jane Andrews was born in Hammersmith, London, and now lives and works in Sussex. She completed her BA (Hons) in Fine Art at West Surrey College of Art and Design in 1994, followed by an MA in Fine Art at the University of Brighton in 2020.

Her work is held in the Art UK National Collection, the Atkinson Art Collection and the Nicholas Treadwell Collection, as well as in private collections worldwide.

Working across oil painting and mixed-media sculpture, Andrews creates highly personal, adapted and distorted allegories. Through tragicomic mottos, humour and visual storytelling, she explores the complexities and absurdities of life — finding space to question, interpret and, sometimes, laugh at them.

Jane will be exhibiting Zebra One Gallery next year 2027 and we can not wait 💫💫🔥

Debbie Taylor Kerman is a Scottish artist who moved to New York City in 1991 to pursue a career as a textile designer. She fell in love with the city — and with her husband, Elliott — and together they made their home in Harlem, where they raised their two sons and still live today.

After more than three decades working successfully in commercial art, the pandemic became a turning point. Debbie decided it was finally time to follow her long-held dream and dedicate herself fully to fine art and painting.

Today, her work can be found in private collections across the United States and around the world.

Flavia Pitis (b. 1978) is a Romanian artist who lives and works in Brașov. She graduated from the Nicolae Grigorescu School of Fine Arts in Bucharest in 2002 and was awarded a research grant in Florence in 2004.

In 2016, Pitis received the Celeste Prize for painting. She is represented in France by Galerie Valérie Delaunay and has exhibited widely across France and internationally, including Drawing Now, YIA, Salon Galeriste, the Parkview Museum in Singapore and exhibitions in Berlin.

Her work has featured in exhibitions celebrating contemporary Romanian art, alongside artists including Radu Belcin, Teodora Axente, Bogdan Vlăduță and Adrian Ghenie.

Pitis’s work can be found in several private collections, including the Estelle and Hervé Francès Foundation in France.
