Forty years of cult mythology. 160 megapixels. No pressure.
When Phish brought their 2026 residency to the Las Vegas Sphere, we were tasked with putting Gamehendge - Trey Anastasio's cult mythology - on screen for the first time, across 16,000 by 16,000 pixels of wraparound LED. Our debut at the Sphere, and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a wilder introduction.
We went straight to the source. Deep into the lyrics, the characters, the lore - building something hand-drawn, trippy, and full of anything-goes energy that felt native to the world of Gamehendge and to the band.
Getting 2D animation to behave on a hemispheric screen was its own technical puzzle (most Sphere content is 3D for a reason), and involved more late nights than we'd care to admit, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
A massive thank you to Moment Factory for bringing us into the fold, and to the whole Golden Wolf team who gave everything to this one. Our most ambitious live music project to date, and one we're very proud of. 🐺
