The Cosy Studio is a collaborative project between a small group of close friends. 'YurtsUp' and 'Cosy Studios' came together in the summer of 2011 in an attempt to accomplish a long term united dream. That dream was to build a road-ready, mobile recording studio that could spend the glorious British summer touring the English countryside to music festivals and events far and wide to capture the sounds and essence of the experiences and encounters of their journey. With Ali Harlow's elegant and mysterious mongolian yurt providing the cocoon of the project, and Mr Bob Turleys technical wizardry and sonic mysticism at one's disposal, the boys rounded up a small team of friends to provide the extra hands needed to take the show to the road (or perhaps you could say bring the show to them...) The Cosy Studio ventured to the likes of The Secret Garden Party, Wilderness festival and many more, recording the sounds of the beautiful people and their instruments, making many friends along the way. All the music was of course recorded FREE OF CHARGE and the artists then have the chance to listen back to themselves once the music had been digitally mastered back home in the original (static) Cosy Studios in the Kentish countryside. After a mind blowing summer discovering overwhelming talent and embarking on great friendships, the boys are preparing to take the Cosy Studio on the road once again in the summer of 2012 to see what magic may take them on once again...
