You are welcomed to a fundraising concert of classical music in support of the Ukrainian Medical Charity (UMC) which supports Ukraine's healthcare system in response to the Russian invasion by acting as a bridge between the UK and Ukraine 🇬🇧🤲🇺🇦

The music program is brought to you by an independent, student-led collective Lihtar Orchestra and Choir and features two golden staples of the piano concerto genre - Beethoven's no. 3 and no. 4, preceded by an exciting piece from a Ukrainian, classical era composer Dmytro Bortnianskyi (1751 - 1825) - overture to the opera 🎵

The music program is brought to you by an independent, student-led collective Lihtar Orchestra and Choir and dedicated to Hanna Havrylets - one of the biggest figures in Ukraine’s modern music with a distinct poetic voice who has passed just a few days after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022. Her symphonic poem “Symbols” you'll hear was finished on December 10th exactly 12 years ago and written during the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity.
