Known as "The White Rose" for her portrayal of romantic roles, Nadira primarily worked in Punjabi and Urdu films.

Throughout her career, Nadira starred in 52 films, with notable successes including "Nachay Nagin," where she played the role of a serpent, earning significant acclaim alongside dancing hero Ismael Shah. She was celebrated for her dancing skills and became synonymous with serpent roles in films like "Nachay Nagin," "Nachay Jogi," and "Jadoo Garni." Her contributions to the film industry were recognized with a Nigar Award for Best Actress in 1991 for the film "Watan Kay Rakhwalay."

In 1993, Nadira married gold merchant Malik Ijaz Hussain, with whom she had two children. Following her marriage, she retired from acting. Tragically, on August 6, 1995, Nadira was shot dead by unknown assailants near Gulberg, Lahore. The incident occurred when robbers attempted to sn**ch her car keys; resistance from her husband led to gunfire, and a bullet fatally struck Nadira in the neck.
