We're very excited to have been asked to start a monthly Spoken Word event at Harrow Arts Centre - there will be a limited number of 5-minute (max) open spots each date - if you'd like to be considered please email [email protected] - or if you just want a chilled evening of entertainment in a lovely venue, please follow this page to be the first to hear of the first event (which will be free).

Marek & I (words2music) Have just got a monthly residency (hopefully if all goes well) at Harrow Arts Centre in the 'Back Stage Bar'. It will be a regular evening of poetry, spoken word, storytelling etc. First Thurs of the month. We are starting to look for 'Open Spot acts, to do a 5min set, of poetry, spoken word, short story!!! Fantastic review for Alice Benson from our show on Dec 7th (tickets still available for Sundays 14th/21st )

"A lovely intimate venue, with a warm welcome from both the venue staff and Alice and Marek. I enjoyed the variety of spoken word and song and Alice had wonderful comic timing too which made for a fun afternoon. I felt...drawn in...by the simple power of the words spoken. Also I think some of the poems would have worked better as they are (so without the musical accompaniment) to allow the words to really speak for themselves without anything to take away from them. We left the venue with smiles though, and the audience participation parts were fun, and Alice did a brilliant job of connecting with the audience and making it feel very inclusive."
