✨ Last year at FuelFest, audiences got an early glimpse of Beauty is the Beast - and the reactions said it all.

A bold, razor-sharp new satire by Racheal Ofori (Portrait, So Many Reasons, FLIP!), Beauty is the Beast asks: what is the true cost of beauty?

From scalp-burning perms to injectables, from skinny tea to fat jabs, this darkly funny new work follows women navigating impossible standards in a world obsessed with appearance.

📍 Catch the rehearsed reading in Oxford at the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities on 6 June 2026 as part of the Past, Present, Future Weekender.

This summer, we’re thrilled to bring An Evening with an Immigrant to Shedinburgh in Edinburgh and London.

Littered with poems, stories and anecdotes, award-winning poet and playwright Inua Ellams tells his ridiculous, fantastic and poignant immigrant story of looking for a country to belong to and a place to call home.

Born to a Muslim father and a Christian mother in what is now considered Boko Haram territory, Inua left Nigeria for England in 1996 aged 12. In this acclaimed solo show, he recounts escaping fundamentalist Islam, finding friendship in Dublin, performing solo at the National Theatre, and drinking wine with the Queen of England - all while navigating identity, belonging and home.

Part of Shedinburgh 2026 - Francesca Moody Productions’ intimate season of theatre, comedy, music and more, bringing cult favourites and extraordinary artists together for a strictly limited run: unplugged, up close and unforgettable.

📍 Shedinburgh at Assembly Checkpoint, Edinburgh
🗓 19–21 August 2026
⏰ 6.45pm

📍 Shedinburgh at Young Vic, London
🗓 6–7 October 2026
⏰ 8.10pm
