omewhat unknowingly, Simon spent most of his youth running around taking pictures of everything he saw on an old 35mm point-and-shoot. And fell in love he did, shunting off coursework to shoot for everything and everyone he could outside of his course. His fashion stories were being regularly published by major national newspapers by the age of 20. A move to London in 2003 provided the opportunity to get really stuck into the fashion photography industry, and a spell assisting saw Simon initially cutting his teeth full-time under prestigious photographer Chris Craymer, before going on to freelance for such household names as Mario Testino and Robert Erdmann. Since making the switch to photographer, Simon’s work has been published regularly in editorials such as Random, Company and Sunday Times Style, as well as continued advertising and commercial commissions for the likes of Debenhams, Coast, Ted Baker & White Stuff. With the current revolution in new technologies and the industry-wide move to web-based platforms, Simon is now diversifying and investigating into moving and interactive images, with several exciting new commissions in production.
