Woodhouse Players The Woodhouse Players - East London's friendliest drama society. We're a friendly amateur dramatics / theatre group based in Leytonstone, East London.

We put on at last six productions a year of plays rangng from new writing, classics, contemporary drama, comedy and pantomime, as well as holding occasional acting and technical workshops. We're very informal and always welcome new members for acting, directing, writing and production roles. Membership (compulsory if participating in performances) is £25 a year (£15 concessions)

Covid safety: We will shortly be resuming live performances now that most Covid restrictions have been lifted and we will be observing measures to ensure the safety of our audience and Front of House volunteers. We will be operating with reduced audience numbers to enable social distancing, and with advance booking only. Audience members are asked to wear a mask unless exempt.

Woodhouse Players are having a bumper year! On top of winning multiple wins for our three entries to this year’s Waltham Forest Theatre Festival, we are so proud to say that two of our members have won district NODA Awards and are up for regionals. They are, Stephen Balchin for Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol-A Pantomime- The Nigel Gravette Award for Best Performance in a Traditional Pantomime and AI by Tom Mallender for the Innovation Award for an Element of Production Which is Difficult, Challenging or Innovative. And last but certainly not at all least our own Liz Braithwaite has been nominated for the Sylvia Rawlings Lifetime Achievement Award. Well done!
