Today's "Staccato of the day" is anjali, who was the Runner-Up Alternative Queen of Reading in 2015 when she performed a 3-minute musical about an alien grappling with the male gaze. She once ate a bee.

Today's "Staccato of the day" is Ben, who began musical improv 4 years ago. He is also a keen fan of the Eurovision Song contest, and brings some of that flamboyant and cheesy energy to the Staccatos performances.

Over the next week, we will be introducing the Staccatos one by one.

Today, we introduce Jodie, who started improv at the age of 50 in Shanghai, where she worked with a hugely popular trilingual musical improv team called SNAP! She has performed with her leg in a brace/cast twice there - let’s hope our Staccatos dance routines don’t put her in another!

We're playing here tonight alongside this madcap bunch and some other mindblowingly talented guests! What a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day/ forget that it's Valentine's Day. And the The Canvas: Cafe and Creative Venue is super lovely and has delicious vegan treats.
