WHO IS CLAUDE CAHUN ? is now on sale at SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE Borough, playing 18 June - 12 July

The gripping, true story of q***r, Jewish artist, Claude Cahun, grappling with gender identity in 1930s Paris.

Escaping to solitude in Jersey, with their partner, Marcel Moore (born Suzanne Malherbe), Cahun’s identity struggles were focused by N**i occupation of the Channel Islands. Bravely resisting the fascists, using guerrilla art, the couple found new identities until the Gestapo came knocking.

Who is Claude Cahun? is now on sale. Playing at Southwark Playhouse Borough 18 June - 12 July. The play is delivered by five actors with video, masks and movement.

has been preparing for their opening night on Wednesday 19th February ✨️

Mia is entering the Miss I-Doll competition with one goal in mind; to become a global superstar.

But on the eve of the show’s primetime final, a peek behind the curtain reveals a ruthless system of feminine stereotypes, capitalistic agendas, green washing, unethical marketing, discrimination, and… let’s cut to commercial.

As Mia takes to the mic in front of millions of people on live TV, she’s faced with a choice. Does she tell the truth? Or does she turn a blind eye to gain the fame and fortune she’s always dreamt of?

Reality TV gets a dose of – well, reality – in this explosive, rip-roaring, one woman musical comedy. Lights on. Cameras rolling. Filter off. It’s time for the revolution.

Nous vous présentons aujourd’hui notre deuxième prof : Hervé Goffings. Il donne les cours de la session du jeudi soir. ✨

Hervé est né au Mali et a été adopté par un couple belge atypique à sa naissance. Il a raconté son histoire dans son one-man show ‘HERVÉ’ qui a été nominé pour le prix ‘First Fringe’ au festival d’Édimbourg. 🏆

Il a commencé ses études vocales au Conservatoire de Musique de Cannes, en France, et obtient un premier Prix de chant. Puis il part pour ses études de chant classique pendant 4 ans à Manchester à la Royal Northern College of Music. Il poursuit à la Royal Scottish Academy of music and Drama de Glasgow et décroche un master en comédie musicale. 👨‍🎓

Aujourd’hui Hervé est comédien. Il a joué au National Theatre, au Royal Festival hall, au Queen Elizabeth Hall et d’autres grandes scènes de Londres. Il a notamment travaillé avec Peter Brook dans The Prisoner, a joué le rôle de Caliban dans une traduction de la Tempête de William Shakespeares au théâtre de Privas en Ardèche. 😁

Il s’est aussi produit dans des comédies musicales telles que The Full Monty (jouée dans le West End), Lost in the Stars de Kurt Weil (retransmise en direct sur la BBC Radio 3), Carmen Jones d'Oscar Hammerstein (avec l’Orchestre Philarmonique de Londres) et Elégies pour les Anges, les Punks et les Folles Perdues (au Festival d’Édimbourg).🗣

Il a joué dans deux séries : 2 épisodes de la série Silent Witness diffusée sur la BBC et dans la série Black Earth Rising sur Netflix. 📺

Hervé a aussi été choriste professionnel dans le Chœur de l’Armée Française de la Garde Républicaine à Paris, pendant 5 ans, en concert en France et à l’étranger. Ainsi que fait partie du chœur Gospel pour 100 voix. 🎶
