🍋 A little taste of Italy through art. 🍋

A gorgeous session at Collington Park Lodge Care Home, with residents creating decorative lemon plates inspired by classic Italian ceramics.

Starting with bright yellow lemons in the centre, residents added leaves, borders and their own painted details around the edge. Some kept to a crisp blue and white palette, while others introduced greens and extra flourishes. 🎨💙

Each plate turned out completely unique, and they look especially lovely displayed together.

A wonderfully hands-on clay session led by Maria, with residents creating their own colourful cupcake designs.

Using air-dry clay, modelling tools and plenty of inspiration, everyone explored shape, texture, colour and pattern to create something completely individual 🎨💚

The session offered a lovely mix of focus, sensory exploration and self-expression, with residents enjoying the freedom to experiment and take pride in their finished pieces.

🌵 Cacti don’t have to be green. 🌵

A colourful session at Collington Park Lodge, with residents creating wonderfully imaginative cactus paintings using watercolours and pastels.

The focus was on exploring colour rather than trying to make each cactus realistic, giving everyone the freedom to experiment with different combinations, patterns and marks. 🎨

We love the soft blends of colour and the completely different personalities that came through in each finished piece.

A lovely reminder that creativity does not need to follow the rules. 💚

A beautiful collection of floral artworks, with colourful flowers arranged in patterned vases against striking black backgrounds.

Each piece took its own direction, combining bold colour, decorative pattern and individual choices to create something full of character. 🎨

We love how different every finished arrangement feels, from vibrant roses to softer floral designs.

🧶 Colour, pattern and plenty of concentration! 🧶

A lovely session at Anchor, Sandholme Fold in Halifax, with residents creating their own decorative wall hangings.

Each wooden piece was carefully decorated with colourful patterns before matching wool was added to complete the designs. There was plenty of quiet focus around the table as everyone considered their colours, details and finishing touches. 🎨

The finished pieces are full of personality, and everyone was delighted with what they had created. 💚

🌸 Floral suncatchers glowing with colour. 🌸

A beautiful session at Normanhurst Care Home, with residents creating floral suncatchers using coffee filters and artist-quality watercolour pens.

After adding colourful marks, drops of water were used to move and blend the inks, creating soft, unexpected patterns across each flower. Once displayed in the windows, the colours came alive in the sunlight. ✨

The residents were delighted with the results and could not wait to put them on display.

We’re focusing on this wonderful collaborative piece, where painted fish, bold ocean colours and mixed materials come together to form a lively coral reef full of movement and imagination.

🐚 Shells transformed with colour, pattern and texture. ✨

Residents created beautiful shell-themed artwork using decoupage, patterned tissue paper, watercolours, beads, gold leaf and paint.

Each shell developed its own character as residents experimented with different materials, made creative choices and added personal details. 🎨💚

A lovely hands-on session full of focus, sensory exploration and pride in the finished pieces.

🎨 Bold patterns, brilliant focus and playful creativity. 🎨

A wonderfully colourful Chatty Art Café session in Exmouth, exploring dot painting, pattern and expressive design inspired by Aboriginal art traditions.

Participants built their pieces one careful mark at a time, using repeated dots, flowing lines and contrasting colours to create striking turtles, landscapes and abstract compositions.

The concentration and patience behind these artworks really shows, with every piece developing its own rhythm, detail and personality. 💚
