In Memory of Janet & Her Masterpiece. ποΈποΈπ
This week, we received a message that made us cry.
It was from Jacqui who hosts Art Sippers Paint & Sip evenings at her home each year for a group of close friends.
She told us:
βHi Josie, Elliot and Winnoa,
I just wanted to share a little story with youβ¦
Hannah and I attended the funeral today of a lovely old friend of mine. There were so many people there.
When we reached the door of the chapel, there was a beautiful portrait of her on one side, and on an easel on the opposite side was her Rodrigo painting! π¨π¦©
Hannah and I were so touched, we both cried instantly. They then moved it to the front, next to her, while the celebrant spoke.
Apparently, it was her pride and joy, her βmasterpieceβ that she never thought she could ever achieveβ¦
Everyone laughed and cried because this wonderful woman had a very full life, with lots of travels and hundreds of memories, but her Rodrigo made it to the end with her. xxβ
We never really know the lasting impact that one small moment of creativity might have on someone... or how meaningful something we create can become.
And this is such a beautiful reminder why painting sessions are so special to us.
We always say. Make a Masterpiece & Memories.
Because when all is said and done... maybe these are the things that matter most. π
Sending love to all of Janetβs friends and family.
P.s Thank you Jacqui Remmington for letting us share this beautiful story. π«Ά
