Down this secluded alleyway in the city of London is the ancient Temple church. Its stonework glowed a golden yellow on the day I sketched it. Designed to replicate the holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, its unique round shape is quite a challenge to draw but worth the effort. The mood is sublime and if you get a chance to visit this part of London, it’s a must see.

Live wedding sketching & Sketches as wedding gifts

Whether it’s live sketching at a wedding or a sketch of a loved one’s big day, a drawing is a uniquely personal way to remember the day. This selection of sketches shows how a drawing brings to life the celebration in a way photography does not.

‘I love the sketches of my wedding, in fact they evoke the memory of the day far more vividly for me than the photographs do!’

This series of architectural@sketches was commissioned by who asked me to draw their buildings, which range from refurbishment to brand new build. The result I think is a more soulful interpretation of the buildings, which when photographed never quite capture the essence of the building. What do you think?

I sketched this scene in Covent Garden last week and when I was thinking about the colours I thought I’d try something a bit different for me. Instead of a realistic depiction of the colour I opted to go super warm and vibrant with the palette. Reds and yellows where the storm and warm grey would be. Quite liberating and fun to try! Will do more of this I think. What do you reckon?

That time I did a 7 metre long mural live in situ in a city office tower. I did it, along with around thirty others representing the theme of ‘views form the bridges of London’ The largest artworks I have ever done, quite a challenge but fun all the same!
