Trailer drop! Copland’s music. Twain’s wit. One American story.

COPLAND & TWAIN fuses Aaron Copland’s stirring score with Mark Twain’s sharp, funny, poignant look at a changing nation, plus James Lee III’s Freedom’s Genuine Dawn (with the words of Frederick Douglass) in the full orchestra version.

This trailer features The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in the new Bradley Hall with conductor Ken-David Masur leading the world premiere last spring.

“Copland’s music pairs perfectly with the folksy, winking tone of Twain’s prose.” - Musical America

Copland and Twain, live from Broadway. ✦

This year’s Chelsea Music Festival brought us to Times Square for the first time: Aaron Copland meeting Mark Twain just days before America’s 250th birthday. Five actors, a camber orchestra under Ken-David Masur, and Bill Barclay’s staging turned the Mississippi, the Midwest, and the American vernacular into a night on stage.

The reviews are in. 🎭✨

Death of Gesualdo performed the Edinburgh International Festival last week, and the critics did not hold back: five stars from The Herald, glowing words from The Stage and Edinburgh Music Review, and an audience member who called it “surely the highlight of this year’s Festival.”

SOLD OUT in Ireland and Scotland, Death of Gesualdo has now sold out every venue from Londont to NYC, York and now Kilkenny and Edinburgh International. One of the best reviewed productions of our history treats real-life Renaissance composer Carlo Gesualdo, who murdered his wife, then wrote some of the most unsettling music in history.

We've just announced four cities to the tour: Canterbury, Turner Sims (Southampton), and Snape Maltings in Suffolk this October. We'll be back in London next March 12 and 13 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Want the tour dates before anyone else? Sign up for our newsletter at the link in bio.
