It's been a little while between posts, but since our last course and classes, I have been busy wrapping up the year (oh, the admin joy) and now, finally, I can sit back and take in what actually happened in 2023 at CBS HQ and think about the path ahead.

First of all, what a wonderful year it has been and it's all thanks to the incredible humans that invested in themselves and signed up to our course and classes this year. Of course, I also have to thank our brilliant faculty, the studios and everyone else involved in making it all happen.

Moving forward, I am looking to build CBS and ensure we can continue to provide the training and support that everyone needs. The goal has always been to maintain what works, but grow as required, using as much initiative as possible to be able to support as many people as possible, and not just in a dance related way.

As CBS has developed, the training we offer has evolved with a more holistic approach, encompassing more than just the physical aspect of the industry. I know this is the right path to continue on and my plan is to ensure we develop this further; as thoughtfully as possible. This may take a little time, but we'll get there and when we do, it's going to be better than ever.

In the meantime, thank you everyone for your continued support.

I wish you all the most magical of festive seasons, however you decide to spend it.

Evening all!

Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. We have a little update on our November classes and still have places available.

Do drop us an email to sign up!

If you're keen to find out more about CBS and how we run, these classes are the perfect opportunity to get a taste of what we're all about.

The classes will be progressive over the 2 weeks, adapting to who joins us.
Each session will include a steady warm up, progressions across the floor and a routine which we will work on for 2 weeks. This learning format allows us to work on pick up speed and how to truly bring a piece to life utilising ALL your skills.

So, drop us an email and see you in the studio!

It's been a couple of weeks since we wrapped up with the 2023 team and we're still smiling from the incredible work they all did.

Capturing many a magical moment, faculty member snapped away throughout the showcase and here they are taking their final bow.

What a day it was!

If you're keen to know what all the fuss is about, we're running a couple of classes in November, so check out the info on the website and feel free to drop us an email with any questions.

Well, we're still buzzing from the final day of the course, but it certainly did feel strange not being in the studio with the team today.

We're waiting on our fabulous pics and videos from the day, but in the meantime, here's a little Halloween themed snap from last years team rehearsing 'When You're an Addams' choreographed by the fabulous Matthew Rowland.

So...What next I hear you say?

Well, funny you ask...

We're planning on some classes to help keep the dancing grooves going and would love to know what you feel you need and want right now! We're planning on running some sessions during the last 2 weeks in November...

Happy Sunday and happy Halloween... 👻

Meet Christie Crosson.

Oh we love having Christie in the studio with us and thrilled to have her back with us for the 2023 course. From Elf to Big, The Musical and currently part of Drew McOnie's Nutcracker, Christie has plenty of experience as a performer and is also an incredible teacher. The perfect blend for us here at CBS.

Helping to integrate song and dance, Christie will be one half of our musical theatre duo teaching the team choreography whilst singing at the same time....a skill in itself and a crucial element of musical theatre training.

Choreographer, Jo Mcshane is back at CBS and we couldn’t be happier!

Jo’s commitment and enthusiasm for everyone’s progression brings about incredible results in such a short space of time. A renowned choreographer, Jo is joining us for our mock dance audition sessions, including some jazz and tap classes.

Sharing a wealth of knowledge and advice to help everyone overcome their audition fears, Jo has a knack of bringing out the best in everyone, increasing chances of doing better in the audition room and we are loving the results so far.

Have you met Miranda?

One of our most valued faculty here at CBS, Miranda Wilford is putting the team through their paces, introducing them to commercial dance.

West End Shows, tours, lead vocalist with orchestras, directing...You name it she's done it...And still doing it.

Miranda is experienced in all fields of the industry. An incredible performer and creative, Miranda knows what is required of you as a performer and how to achieve that for yourself.

"Commercial' can be a daunting thought for those who haven't taken classes in this style, but with Miranda's approach, you are in safe hands and you might just surprise yourself, like so many do on our course and end up loving it."
