A quick snapshot of what’s been keeping us busy this week. We’ve been working with some really nice wood grains, highlighting the natural beauty of each wood species. Sometimes clients avoid these but we love it when they want the more gnarly pieces, otherwise we just keep them for ourselves 😉

We love some colour at FRMD. Whether it’s contrasting or complimenting this is a great way to add some fun to your artwork and walls.

Every frame is made in-house at our East London workshop, allowing us to create bespoke finishes and colours tailored to each artwork and space.

Another busy week in the workshop.

Lots of different projects moving through FRMD this week, from design consultations and frame making to mounting, fitting and final finishing. Every week is always different from photographs, to children’s drawings to more weird objects including an old leg cast.

We tried something new for these .studio ‘Swans at Noon’ from .

For these Kyran our woodworking wizard joint up some beech and walnut strips to make a two tone moulding. We did the invert pattern for each frame. The artwork was floated with a window surround and finished with anti reflective glass.
